Porn does set the bar a little higher....It can also lead to dehydration, the porn "death grip"..[I'm still laughing over that one]....And the inexplicable spontaneous combustion, in the crotch of your Wranglers.. when you get within 100 feet of a Church.
I hate when that happens!

It says they interviewed a total of 280 test subjects. That's a very small test group imo.

There's been a few threads on this topic recently with links to much bigger studies proving that porn does have a negative effect on people who watch too much.

As has been stated above - I'd rather be making it, than watching it!

I just thought it was interesting, because other studies, as you point out, have shown the opposite. I think we can all agree that different people are affected differently by things. Clinical trials never have a 100% success rate. It does mention in the article that previous studies have been lacking, but there is no explanation as to how they have been lacking.
Although Russel Brand may make some, seemingly, valid points, porn has not impacted how I view women, or interact with them. What is important is how people that are role models interact with other people and what values you are raised with. If you use porn as an example of how to interact with women, then of course you're going to be messed up. But that goes beyond just watching porn, and goes to an inability to differentiate between fantasy and reality and not having proper role modes.
Nobody is saying they would rather watch porn than have sex.

There's a lot of junk science in newspapers and magazines. Many of the writers don't have a clue what they are talking about.

Some of these fitness articles say the opposite of the actual papers they are writing about. Or some hack at Canwest news service skims through an online abstract and misunderstands it.

Always double check the original source material if possible.
