Hell ...I have about 300 under my hay. If you go down any alley in any industrial area you'll find dozens every night. Behind Superstore, Costco, any building supply will have lots. The hardwood ones are a little tougher to get ,as they are recycled into furniture, so there's a line up for them. The ones painted blue are for shipping concrete products but are gangnailed and glued so you may want to avoid them. Maybe just go to Home Depot and smile at the stock boy, just a guess ,but you may find he will be very helpful..Hell I know I would be.
Unless of course you wanna come help me move 400 ton of hay.
I pay well for helping me in the haybarn BTW.
The pay is Three and a half.
I'll cook you three meals a day ,and you get half a bed.You can have as many pallets that'll load into a Dodge Diesel...

I've been looking onto re-purposing pallets as well, but you need to be careful you don't get the wrong ones.

Link---> How to tell if a pallet is safe for reuse. <---Link

"There are 2 main things to watch for on the stamp :

The IPPC Logo: if you don’t see it, don’t use it ! Even if a pallet may be perfectly safe without this logo it could also mean that it was treated with chemicals !
The treatment code : HT =Heat treatment / MB =Methyl Bromide / DB = Debarked.

HT : wooden pallets manufactured in Canada or the US undergo a pest control treatment called heat treating (HT) which involves heating the pallet to minimum core temperature of 56°C for softwoods and 60°C for hardwoods for a minimum of 30 minutes in a kiln. HT pallets are not harmful to your health.

MB : methyl-bromide fumigation. This type of treatment is banned in Canada because it poses a health risk to workers handling the pallets. you can still find it in some countries. If you find a MB pallet, please do not use it for your craft projects or as firewood, find a waste-removal company who can dispose of it properly.

Wood

I'll be using the pallets to help build solid independent structures for a stand up garden. Using the concept in the photos but mine will be a little more complex. I'm trying to use all recycled materials so it's all as green as I can make it :) and I'd like to be Able to turn/rotate and even move the structures if I want to and the pallets from some photos I've seen are my best best towards easy solid base structures I can build up on

If any one has an better ideas I'm all ears :) :) I already have 1/4 inch sheets of plywood and other scraps of wood ect. I've found a few ideas on the Internet with recycled bottles and milk jugs for hanging structures. I'd like to buy as little as possible and recycle as much as I can !

Thank you so much for the bits of information. I knew this would get more complicated along the way as I actually started to gather materials. ! I know I'll have to get a different saw I only have a skill saw and good old fashion. I'll need a reciprocating saw most likely. Now to try and track down some more items.

Thanks again for the help and knowledge !!!
