Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right section to put this question in but I wanted to ask what the age requirement is to get an escort. One of my friends said 16 is, and my other friend says its 21. I am 19 right now. Am I allowed to get one? Or is there actually no rule of getting one.
(Please move my topic if I am in the wrong section.)

you better figure it out fast, because after december 6th, it won't be legal for anybody no matter what their age is

however, at 19, you are presently legal to hire an escort

As to whether you can be charged, it's not an age question on whether hiring an escort is legal or illegal. The Criminal Code applies (unless you are under 12). If you break the law, it's just a matter of whether you are charged as a juvenile or an adult. From the escort's perspective, age does matter. You have to be 16 to consent to paying her.

So what does this exactly mean for us? What can we say or what can we not say when communicating with a SP? Im really confused....

On the thread people are saying vancouver will not be effected. Is this true?
