I never say no to a hockey date![/QUOTE]

I never say no to a steak dinner!

We have only had a couple of bad games, and we have bounced back the next game, so i don't think we have anything to complain about. What is important to note, is we are getting contributions from all 4 lines not just one as in the past. Makes us much harder to defend against. Bonino, Vey, and Richardson are having a good start, that takes a lot of pressure off the Sedins.

The Canucks, after 13 games, are 9-4. Last year they were 8-4-1. And let's not forget how last year ended.

Lots of new players, all new management, new system, no hint of any controversy, let alone a goalie one. I hardly think we can make a comparison to last year.

History does have a way of repeating itself. Anyway, I'm predicting they miss the playoffs, but even if they do make them, I'm also predicting (easy to do I admit) that the Canuck's history of playoff failures, as in no Stanley Cup, will continue. Whoever posted that the Canucks are the Cubs of baseball was only partially right. A lot of people outside of Chicago love the Cubs. Not many people outside of Vancouver love the Canucks

They've done very well so far, and they did beat Montreal. Its a 82 game season, no game is worth more than another, points wise. biggest problem i see is if we lose a defense man. We don't have much sitting in the wings. But to be in the position we are, after all that has happened, you have to be happy. The new management has done great job, getting everyone on board.
I've been a Habs fan since Dryden stole the show in '71, but they are SOOOOO over rated. They over achieved last year- would have been knocked out by Tampa if Ben Bishop was healthy. Not a real barometer of talent. I do agree that our defense could be the weak link- it always seems to be a bit of an adventure in our own zone with coverage too often. Maybe we do need an injury back there to get Frankie back into the line up.....?

I would hate to counter-argue anything that a beautiful lady like hers says.

I think we haven't really played many big tough teams yet. Remember, as soon as the conference was reshuffled last year, we got our bottoms spanked. ( I admit it had something to do with Tortorella's coaching).

We have played four decent teams so far, Dallas, Colorado, Montreal and Nashville and we have won only one (and had our bottoms bootpolished by two) :) I would wait till we face rest of the Pacific Division. Trips to sunny California won't be as much fun for the lads anymore.

Besides the first line has kind of tailed off a bit. I still feel Canucks need one good solid defense man to be competitive.

:)
Colorado and Montreal both over achieved last year- I would not consider them to be "good" teams compared to the rest of the league.

too early to get optimistic but they've surpassed my expectations.
I had pegged them around .500 team in the first 12 but this
is a pleasant surprise.

Yippie can we start the parade now :p

In all seriousness, the games I have watched were up tempo fast skating events. A few teams showed our lack of speed defensively. I am interested to see what happens vs LA, Anaheim, Chicago because they are the contenders in the West IMHO
Kings 3 Canucks 0 after First Period.

Geezus that Kopitar has a shot!

Forget Kesler, Bonino is on fucking fire.
I'm looking forward to the Ducks game. Hoping for a rebound after that game last night.

We get to see the Incredible Sulk in a Ducks uniform too
