Just turned off the TV after watching the news.

A quick recap of the last little while in no particular order:

• Highest gas prices in Canada, probably in North America
• We're waiting for a "miracle man" type mediator to resolve the gap between teachers and the BC Gov, wonder how much he gets paid
• Government just fixed the loophole that was abused to give foreign workers jobs our unemployed unlikely to fill, probably because they don't have any work ethic to start with. Soon even fast food will be expensive here
• Albertan led government approve the Northern Gateway so we can export Albertan oil while raping the one part of land we didn't yet. If it turns to be a done deal I sure hope Christy at least has the balls to extract the value of our shoreline to lower our price at the pump
• Political correctness goes too far, school trustees fired because they don't agree to to keep parents in the dark and potentially contradict religious and family values when kids have uncertainty about their sexual orientation
• man returns from long vacation to find the real estate management company that managed his Maple Ridge home neglected their job by renting it to a women who trashed the place. $25k in damages awarded don't come close to covering the damage. Likely another case of laws that give too many rights to renters and a legal system wide open for abuse
• to top it all the obvious - Harper's prostitution bill...

Only positive in recent memory is that if Trudeau is elected I'll be able to chill through the consumption of legalized cannabis.

The B.C. government has officially green-lighted happy hours in the province, just in time for summer.

That means that, as of Friday, restaurants and pubs can now discount their alcohol prices midday – bringing B.C. into line with every other province in Canada.

The minimum pricing per ounce is 25 cents for draft or packaged beer, cider and coolers and 60 cents for wine and fortified wine, including sake. This works out to $3 for a 12-ounce sleeve of beer or five-ounce glass of wine, $5 for a 20-ounce pint of beer and $5.40 for a nine-ounce glass of wine. Liqueurs and spirits are $3 per 1.5 ounce.

There's not much cheer there - newspeak - Happy Hour is actually going to result in an INCREASE in prices since the new minimum prices are higher than the regular prices at many watering holes.

Not sure what the issue here is, schools are meant to keep kids safe from potential abuse at home, not act as informants/enforcers for it. Outing a minor to their intolerantly religious parents can have chilling consequences.

Sitting in the Copenhagen airport after wild weekend with a couple Danish hotties. I am starting to feel the same way. Vancouver use to be favorite hot spot for me and the hobby. Althought the recent trip to VanCity with VV and Cami was good. Loved Dinner with VV and hanging out at the bar with VV and Cami showing off her ass right the lounge. That ass wipe deserved to be kicked out if he can't accept the fact that the condo owners cannot park in the visitors' parking.

There is a problem unit in my building that is having major domestic issues but non-violent. The couple in that unit would fight every day (without violence) at the early hours in the morning and would usually escalate to throwing things around and banging on walls thereby disturbing their neighbors. The police has been called numerous times. Due to their fights being non-violent, there is not much the police can do. The strata has levied closed to $10,000 in fines for violating the noise by-laws but they have not paid a penny. Our strata is taking them to court over the fines and legal costs. I see them as being the 3rd ever case to be forced to sell.

No, there isn't. Not if they are not willing to disclose on their own.

The entirely unrelated issue of report cards aside, parents do not own their children, and minors are still entitled to personal rights. This includes confidentiality when reporting private issues to teachers or health care workers.
