Was it Sasha Skye? Skye or Sky are not the most unique names, it's true. Which is probably the only reason I haven't used one of those already. There have been a number of ladies who have used Sky/Skye as either a first or last name. It would be nice to know if there was anyone well-known and currently active using it.

With respect to Catherine Deneuve, my suggestion is Violet de Jour.

I loved that film, Belle de Jour, but de Jour has already become a popular last name for escorts since a famous escort and writer used Belle de Jour as her name and I also feel like de Jour is only a clever last name when it follows Belle (basically translating to "beauty of the day"; Violet de Jour would be like "Violet of the day" which sounds weird to me).

Well a lot of them have been jokes or are impractical for various reasons and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet, plus I am super picky. But SO FAR the ones I like best are (in no particular order):

Thanks again to everyone for all the suggestions! I'd typed out a reply to a number of questions/comments/suggestions people posted but somehow deleted it :doh:

I've noticed quite a few duplicates are coming up and I know the thread is getting very long but I just want to point out that if I choose a name that has been suggested multiple times whoever suggested it first will receive the prize.

I also want to elaborate a little more on what I am looking for: My first preference would be a name that is or sounds like it could be a real last name and does not automatically scream SP. It would be something that sounds appealing, attractive and non-threatening. It would be a name not in use by any well-known active SPs in Vancouver or Victoria or who regularly tour to Vancouver. Sorry if I seem super picky, but I don't want to have to change my name after I settle on one and I'm planning to get a new email address and at some point probably a website with the new last name. I do truly appreciate everyone's help but I guess I feel like I can be a little demanding given that I am offering a reward

Quite a few of the last names you suggested are already taken by well-known BC SPs. But I like Violet Valentine or Violet Lawrence.

Out of CJ's last list I like Violet Harris, Violet Wright, Violet Knight, Violet Cassidy and Violet Taylor (eta: oops that won't work, Holly Taylor already has that last name).

Another one I thought of myself is Violet Morado. Morado means purple in Spanish. What do you guys think?
