He got lucky winning a cup with Tampa Bay, but he's killing us Canuck Fans. I say this as a 25 yr season ticket holder, so I have a vested interest in the team playing well. Enough is enough! Someone has to go!

Prior to last year, between myself personally and my companies, I have paid for 3 pairs of seasons tickets.

I gave up my lower bowl set of tickets last year.

I am giving up my good upper bowl set of tickets this coming year.

I still have a set of club seat tickets but I am trying to pawn off a large % to other clients or vendors in the coming year.

Other than participating some what in this forum on the Canucks I am just not that interested in either watching them live or on the TV.

I guess apathetic is the best way to describe how I feel.

wasn't it said when the hiring process was going on last year that Torts was Aquilini's hire. that being said Gillis will go first.
Gillis has done nothing to improve this team other than bad trades and sign and aging core.

What I found interesting and accurate was between periods at the heritage classic, the tv showed isolation on how the twins are getting so slow and how the speed of the game is quicker that their "magic" game is now taken away. No time or space anymore as teams know they can get on them.

I heard today on TSN, both guys have 4 years remaining on their contracts, probably in the neighbourhood of $2m USD per......the former slumlords aren't going to want to eat that big piece of stinking pizza.

this version of the Canucks really hurts! I like the team and all, but it's just painful to watch how underachieving the team has become.

looking at the way things are going, I don't think Torts has the right personnel to see his vision through.
not saying Torts is a shitty coach, he did win a cup after all in TBay, (though he hasn't done anything significant since).
but something's not getting through to the players. is it his system?

are the player's at fault?
to think a lot of these guys have played for different coaches and systems in their career…surely they wouldn't
cut the NHL if they were dumb and can't understand playbooks.
it's perplexing to see the drop in production from the core group since Tort's took over and
I'm sure he wants more grit and hockey smarts out of the guys, but again, the personnel just isn't there.

do the Canucks change the identity of the team?
isn't that the job of ownership and GM? Gillis has done dick to improve the team.
unless Aquilinis are meddling in on his role as well, then it's no picnic for Gillis.
I for one am getting tired of Gilli's nonchalant hyperbole of 'bringing a winning team' to the city.

no different from a corporation, trouble begins from the top down, not the other way around.

In the near future, I would like to see management bring a Canadian brand of hockey to this organization.

definition of that brand?
an unmatched work ethic.
speed that kills.
high hockey IQ.
player toughness (it's not just about dropping gloves but the puck battles along the walls)
DESIRE TO WIN.
