I just need to tone myself, just got the ok from doctor to start more cardio workout. I want to run a marathon this year, and I will do it.

Thanks Angie! I have set a future goal: to be fit and toned by 49...that gives me nearly a year to continue to shape and firm my thighs, my glutes, my calves, my waist and my abdomen. I am consulting with some experts about whether some tightening/lifting procedures might be in order...after all, I have lost more in poundage (117+) than some people have IQ points!

I never said Christie Brinkley was unattractive for her age but if I did why would that be such a travesty? I was merely pointing out that photoshoots are not realistic. Even I could be made to look tolerable in the hands of a professional with the right software and I'd be the first to say that ain't reality.

I don't know what provoked MsE to ridicule my intelligence or my right to my opinion on a matter that wasn't an insult to anyone here.
I don't BS and I don't kiss ass. I'd be the first to call myself an idiot when it fits but for pointing out the accuracy of photoshop processing, naw I'm sticking with my initial assessment. If that makes me an enemy of yours than I'll just have to live with that.

Between photoshop, plastic surgery and spanx. few will argue that celebs actually look as good as they may appear. But if you go to a gym or anywhere else where many people adhere to a healthy lifestyle you will see all sorts of people looking 15 years younger than they are. I wonder though if they look young for their age or the rest just look old.
This isn't 1940...50 is the new 35. We know enough about how to take care of ourselves that we should feel great at 50 and beyond. Selma Hayek, Halle Berry, Cindy Crawford....all in their mid 40s and sexy as hell.

Part of being sexy, no matter what the age, is owning what you got. The women mentioned and displayed in these threads are considered sexy by many because at 60 they still feel as sexy as they did when they were 25. Whether that's due to a surgeon's scalpel, some new age moisturizer or just being comfortable with who they are, they seem to be feeling great about themselves and not afraid to display it. If I have a wife that looks like them and exudes that kind of confidence at any age, I'll have it made.
