Why it is better to ignore than answer

I rarely get verbally abused by clients so I was surprised when this happened today. I had to tell him that I do not provide the services he is looking for and this is how he reacted



This is why I do not always answer emails if a client if looking for service I do not provide.

Sorry but I gotta ask , why not just hit delete and move on? I think that Perb would be littered with posts like that if all providers posted when someone calls them a name .... agreed it is disrespectful however at the same time the industry you/we have chosen to partake in a person is expected to get one or two of those in their time, don't you think?

Because warning others of behaviours like that is important. I don't take shit when it comes to calls, emails etcetera and I warn as needed

I think it's good to warn others of any super disrespectful aggressive behavior. It may be just an e-mail but there is always the possibility of it turning into something more. I for one appreciate the heads up. Especially when we are in an industry that is about getting intimate with strangers. The more we know, the better!

Just my 2 cents

Talk like this could be harmless, but it could also lead to more violent behaviour. The guy has obvious anger issues and I agree, women should stay away from him.

And while it is true that getting texts like this is part of the business, it is also true that we are not here to provide easy target for psychos.

Also true that we should cut this kind of conversation as short possible, as there is no way of arguing with somebody in such a state of mind.

I am 100% in agreement with posting this kind of vitriol. Sure, some of the texts we report in the lounge are just plain ridiculous; we post them for comic relief and maybe for some empathy from the fellas, who can get a glimpse of what we ladies deal with on a daily basis.

This is not one of those harmless, idiotic examples. Most guys do not speak to us ladies like this (in text, e-mail or on the phone), and this kind of reporting is VERY VALID, imho. Especially when Ladies Lounges are so scarce, and we all need to work as safely as possible.
