I know that this thread will inadvertently offend some, but before I let me temper get the best of me, I thought I would just talk about my frustrations here....
A lot of SPs state that they only use text for any kind of business telecommunications. I am one of those SPs. I've found this method works best for me, because I'm not always in a situation where I can openly chat about work and because when I did allow phone calls, I found that I had a lot of time wasters trying to keep me on the phone with ridiculous questions, conversations, or just trying to use my voice while they jerked off. I'm not a chatline.
I understand that there are a lot of pooners out there who will try and defend their attempts to call an SP, even if it clearly states "NO PHONE CALLS", by saying that, because of their age/generation/lack of sense with texting technology, they aren't comfortable with texting. That's fine. Guess what it says under most phone numbers? An email address! You cannot tell me that someone who found my ad on the internet doesn't have an email address. If you know how to look up an escort service, but you aren't intelligent enough to set up a free email address, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I probably don't want you as a client in the first place. Bitchy? Probably. But if you can't be bothered to be respectful from the get go, what other shit are you going to try and get away with?
My real big beef is this: If you do text me (and I am only speaking for myself, other girls, please speak your minds), please keep in mind that this is still a professional business. There is no need to commence a conversation with, "Hey baby" or "Hey hot stuff" or Hey good looking" or really anything that would sound like a catcall on the street or cheesy pickup line in a bar. You are not courting me. This is a business. I understand it's the nature of the business, but it is still a professional business. When you begin correspondence like that, it really discredits you in my eyes (again, just speaking for myself). I find it disrespectful of what I do. Would you call your massage therapist, car mechanic, hair stylist, doctor, school counsellor etc and start your conversation by saying, "Hi sexy", and then continue with lewd conversation? No. Because you would not only be refused service, you might be sued for harassment.
Don't get me wrong, I am 100% fine with some dirty talk....when you've booked an appointment and we are in each other's presence. But until then, please, please, PLEASE try and be as polite as you would be booking an appointment for anything else. Because 100% of the time, I am going to choose a client who begins a chat with, "Hi Cameron, my name is _____. I am interested in booking an appointment", over someone who starts out with a pick up line for an escort. Dude. I'm an escort. It's not a courtship. You don't need to woo me. I'm a sure thing. It's all GFE once you're at the incall, but until then, I am a busy person both in my personal life and my professional life. And like it or not, how you express yourself through text is usually a big indication of what you will be like as a client.
Ok. Rant over.
PS I have found that these types of texters usually come out when I decide that posting on BP is a great idea. I know! I know! Lesson learned for the future
