Girls aren't the only ones guilty! I get emails ALL THE TIME from guys who claim they are members on this board demanding rate reductions in exchange for favorable reviews, or threaten to leave false bad reviews if you don't comply... Some of them use their reviews as a weapon to try to force ladies to do their bidding... How do you like them apples? Cuz I'm getting so sick and tired of it, personally... Probably as sick as you guys are! Lol
This deserves a quote and a bump.
When "gentlemen" start using these tactics to "bully" ladies into arragements.
I completely understand why this would be so aggravating to you ladies and why you would be rightly angered by it. However, in my opinion, this is a different issue and it has been raised and addressed in the past. I seem to recall at least one or two previous forum handles that were eventually revealed to be perpetrators of this type of coercion or attempted coercion. Again, if I remember correctly, the handles were banned and the posting histories removed since any reviews from those handles were then obviously seen as suspect.
That's why I just can't understand the thought process of this type of scenario. In order for either the promise of a favourable review or the threat of a negative one to have any real weight with readers and therefore the lady being targeted by the would be perpetrator, the handle posting that review would need to be from a member with a certain amount of credibility. I mean if "johnny 1 post" comes along and posts something either overly glowing or excessively negative, the review will most likely be treated with suspicion and probably questioned by the more savvy members of the forum. We've all seen it time and time again.
So, it seems to me that the individual attempting this would need to prove that he was indeed the owner of a perb handle that was considered credible. As UhOh and BadgerJohn have pointed out, a PM on the forum would be enough to either prove or disprove whether the threat actually came from the member with the handle. Obviously, someone attempting to impersonate one of the credible members of the forum with an actual posting history wouldn't be able to do this.
Or random dudes that use established pooners handles when booking phone appts. yes. i read that very tale on another board. how would any of you guys feel about that? SOmeone (some random dude) using YOUR handle to book an appt with a SP,. If he is a "bad "client...that could potentially BLACKLIST you!!!!!
It could, because some ladies (not me) will only book with guys that have a perb handle. A lot of guys don't have one so they could just pull up the page and happen to see yours and use it. Then when they do something stupid you end up blacklisted....
Similarly, in this type of scenario, I tend to think that most ladies would make sure to verify the individual claiming to be the forum member was indeed the one with access to that handle before accepting an appointment.
