Not likely to be playing at your favourite Richmond restaurant.

Thank her parents, who said:

"You can do whatever you want! Your are smart, creative and beautiful. You want to make a Youtube video? About your favorite thing? Great idea!! Your favourite thing is Chinese food? Ummm, well, that's great! You can do whatever you want you are smart, special...etc.etc...."

Ps. I did not watch the vid. I can only assume it is about her favourite thing, I cannot imagine the video being mean spirited!!!

You're right. Apparently it is about her favourite thing.

I got to :40 before I turned it off. Anybody do any better?
The two of you have no idea what you're missing! Once the Panda shows up, it's frickin' hilarious! I almost didn't make it to the end cuz it started to feel like it was dragging during the board game party sequence with all her friends but I'm glad I stuck it out because the ending cracked me up in a big way. Honestly, the whole thing felt like one of those odd Japanese commercials. At one point I actually wondered if this was going to turn out to be a wacky commercial for a chinese restaurant.

Great find, mik! Absolutely hilarious! :pound:

Edit:
I'm gonna make an awful video about white people food and become a youtube superstar
By the way, stan. Just say the word and I'll gladly be your godawfully lame rapping panda! :D

The song's creator, Patrice Wilson, released a couple of other real "gems" previously: Rebecca Black's Friday and Nicole Westbrook's It's Thanksgiving.

I will spare you the pain by not providing the links here. :fear:

"Wilson appeared in One Week to Hit It Big: Pop Star, the ABC (American Broadcasting Company) show Good Morning America's (GMA) one-week special feature.[4] After auditions of tens of candidates, the final line-up of candidates were Linnea Sult, Lexi St. George, Madeline Ralston, all 14, and Samantha Ramirez, 12. Wilson chose Lexi St. George for the ABC GMA challenge of trying to make a viral star in one week. She recorded the song "Dancing to the Rhythm" co-written for the show by Wilson and Steve Sulikowski[5] and produced by Wilson. A music video was made in one day and was launched on the GMA program on June 30, 2011."

The fact that the lamest stuff goes viral only goes to show

1) how bored we are as a society,
2) how lazy/stupid we are that this qualifies as entertainment,
3) that we willingly gave up our abilities to be creative due to the advent of the interweb.

It makes me lose a bit more faith in humanity..

Who doesn't like Chinese food, old sports?
I think there must be subliminal messages in there. Today, I went out and got Chinese food for dinner!

Wouldn't an Avril Lavigne & Chad Kroeger power ballad video be a contender?
