baseball playoffs, anyone got predictions?so far, tight pitching the order of the day.

NHL off&running, anyone surprised by fast starts of Leafs&Av's?

CFL looks like a repeat of last yr's Grey Cup..Cal vs. Tor?

NFL early days but Broncos looking like team to beat?

My concern with the Broncos is that the passing game there could get a lot more difficult as the weather conditions worsen...

Ricky Ray is back tomorrow the Argo's should have a good shot to bad they have no fans. Lets not forget there is also CIS football it's pretty good. Guelph Calgary and Western could have undefeated seasons I'm looking forward to the playoffs and of course Laval is kicking ass out in the Quebec conference

Go seahawks though the Broncos look pretty formidable. If they had the same defense as the Tebow years, they would be unbeatable and just give the the Superbowl now. Defense typical wins in sports when it counts so we'll see where Denver finishes the year.

The West has won 25 of the 34 games against the East in the first 2 weeks of the NHL season. At this rate, a Western team (like the Canucks) might need close to 100 points just to make the playoffs.

I'd agree with that in most cases,Borko.

However, Manning's passing game last yr in Denver's cold days of Dec&Jan still looked pretty good.

I think defense is their biggest concern.

last night with one swing of the bat, Big Papi might've turned that series around.

both the Cards&Tigers have studs going in game 3 of their respective series.

CFL and MLB I haven't followed much this year but that Red Sox/Tigers game on Sunday was pretty crazy.

The NHL too early to call anything yet but that hybrid icing rule should be gone soon as it is driving both the coaches and players crazy.

The Broncos have a remarkably easy schedule and if they don't finish at least 14-2, they are not worth a damn. Even if they do make it to the Super Bowl the NFC team will beat them, which will probably be either the Saints, Seahawks or 49ers with the Bears having an outside shot to make it as well.

Well, they say his arm strength is better this year than last so that's a plus. He had pretty cupcake defences for for 3 of the last 4 weeks of the regular season though. I think Moreno needs to continue doing well though for an at least somewhat balanced offence in order for them to have success come playoff time.

I don't think the Saints or Bears can outscore the Broncos especially with how the Bears defence has looked lately. I think the 49ers defence is pretty dinged up too. The Seahawks have the best shot but I don't think even their secondary has enough bodies to cover DT, JT, Decker and Welker but if they have success with running Lynch into the ground against them then I think they can win by simply playing keep away with the ball.

I'm glade to see the Dodgers won tonight and are back in it as I really don't like STL but they do have sexy jerseys. In CFL the east is getting interesting Ricky Ray is back but the Hamilton is hanging around. In the west BC give Andrew Harris the ball more

I had thought injuries to the line had made open holes for Harris more difficult which is why they went away from it.

Ed Willes,a writer I respect, wondered last week if the Broncos could go 16-0.

I think it's far too early to start that, wait until at least 10-0.
also, their defence is allowing lots of points.Dallas put up 48 and lost.
A pass D that gives up 5 Romo TD passes is suspect, imo.

I seriously doubt we'll ever see another 16-0 season.

Canucks get a needed 2pts to begin the road trip.
Cards threatening,Bosox have the momentum, fun times!

Romo is a talented quarterback, his knock is just that he crumbles when the game is on the line. He also had a lot of good weapons to utilize that game with Murray, Dez, Witten and Williams doing pretty well for him. It isn't exactly Blaine Gabbert putting down 5 TDs on the Broncos defence.

I'm actually a Cowboys fan,Borko, tho' re-reading my post doesn't actually look like it,lol.
Romo seems to have this knack of ending a game with an INT, or should I say throwing a late pick
that ultimately causes a loss.

Jeez, the NFC East, has become NFC Least this year.I know, still 10 games to turn it around
I shouldn't crap all over them yet.

Well, the Cowboys should be fine since the Redskins and the Giants look like a trainwreck and Philadelphia's defence is looking tragic and all their star players on offence other than McCoy are made of glass.

nice to see Game 4, Cards-LA end with the Havana hot-dog, Puig, grounding into a DP. nicer still to see him whiff 4 times in Game 2.

he's loaded with talent, no question, but VERY immature.older teammates should be teaching him how to be a pro.

It is a good sports month, that's for sure. Sadly, if you like Vancouver sports, you don't have much to be optimistic about. The Lions and the Canucks just aren't good enough.

Your concern for the Broncos should be Peyton Manning's decision making skills disappearing in the playoffs.
rintin6...it wasn't Manning's decision to go all-conservative in the AFC game and run on 3rd&7 when a 1st down ices the game.
fox couldn't trust Peyton freaking Manning to throw on 3rd&7???if he makes the throw, it's over,Ravens outta time-outs.
no, a "safe" running play, which Ravens easily stopped&they get the ball after a punt.
on the ensuing Ravens drive, it wasn;t Manning's decision re whatever defensive schemes didn't work out.

I think Fox cost them the super bowl, tho' I know ppl will argue that.
