I'm not the most observant around, but that's how I see it. I don't think any personal insult on the other member was intended. I respect your opinion, but I don't agree with it.

On the micro scope...

As Ms. Parker has noted, it really is no competition to the high-end. Steak houses on Alberni are not in the least concerned about noodle houses on Victoria stealing any business. However, micro's really take the dubious distinction of basically circumventing Revenue Canada to the limit (heck, they aren't even paying any sort of a business licensing fee). Should the operations become large enough (Zhe Nai Xu can attest to this), they will be targeted and shut down.

The workers aren't coerced, although some are a bit naive in thinking that there isn't a better way to work in the trade. Organizations that run these operations aren't doing it with the worker's health and well-being in mind (physical, psychological, financial, etc.)

The demand is there, or they wouldn't exist. Like anything on the free market, you get (up to) what you pay for.

All I can say is I explained the SOPAM service given at "Sugarland" to a local SP who worked for a local agency
and I explained it in very explicit detail in the chatroom on CAF.Her reaction was quite negative.She felt it was beneath her to shower up with me before the session and soap me up and clean me and give me a BBBJ in the shower and then follow it up with a wicked bodyslide/massage/BBBJ and then FS with DFK and then cleaning me up again in the shower afterwards.Basically she expected me to pay more than double the price of a micro for vastly inferior service,like she was doing me a favour by fucking me for money.

undercutting is a problem and is not only a problem in our industry. trucking for example experienced an influx of foreign workers who were willing to work much cheaper and who drove prices down so far it is now difficult to make any money as a trucker any more.

the influx of illegal immigrant workers has impacted the prices here across the board. they are willing to work for much less and as such have driven down prices in certain sectors. as well as they are willing to provide more intimate services than western sp's and for a lower price than say a pse provider at $300/$400 an hour.

my understnading is in some cases it may seem like its cheaper but then you get there and the "upsell" happens. everything is an extra fee so then end up making a wage closer to that of a western sp.

anyway, i could carry on for hours about it and the differences.....i won't bore everyone....

As for micros I have never dealt with a "line up" though I have dealt with "bait and switch" but they are different.I have never felt afraid or pressured and I have never EVER felt these gals are "trafficked" as they
are not and they dont need to be "rescued" as they know full well what they are doing and getting
themselves into.Same as the gals that work the 1-4-1's in Hong Kong.These gals are doing it with a specific
plan to either help themselves or their family back in the home country as they can make far more
money than working in a sweatshop garment factory churning out fancy yoga pants for the well-to-do
women of Western society whose husbands fuck these women as their wives dole out sex like it is a
reward once they get that overpriced ring on the proverbial finger.

As for NGO's such as the IJM who purport to "help" women involved in the voluntary sex trade those
NGO's are nothing but wolves in sheeps clothing.They use questionable methods to swwop down and oppress
women who have chosen to do this and impose their morals upon them under the guise of helping them.I
myself dont think being helped is being seized in a bar raid in Angelas City in the Phiilipines and having all the bar-girls rounded up and carted off on a bus and placed in a detention facility until they agree too sign
papers to indict the bar-owner because of police corruption by the NGO's (IJM)

The IJM(International Justice Ministry) have worked over Cambodia/Vietnam and are now concentrating
on the Phillipines.They tried to work over Thailand but they got run out of town on a rail in very short order.
Personally I find it reprehensible that some right wing group of bible thumpers/purists from Western society
has the stones to project their morals in countries such as Thailand/Phillipines/Vietnam/Cambodia
whilst having it all paid for by donations to their cause by the morally out-raged but ill-informed masses of
Western society.....kind of like sending 19-21 year old men to fight the evil communists in the Vieatnam
war.

A "butcher shop" does not sound in any way sexy or appealing for that matter so I will pass on that option.
If I visit Vancouver (though I dislike the city) I will make it my priority to meet you and I place that
meeting with you on a higher level than meeting/visiting my brother who lives there...mainly because I can only fathom that you would provide far more stimulating conversation than him and that you would have better table manners even though he had them ingrained into his head but chose to ignore the rational

tanx youse guys.....stay tuned for the city task force wrap up!! the work on the task force is almost done and will soon become policy inside vancouver. with the city and VPD on board as well as coastal health....we are building a better tomorrow for our industry!! i feel real change coming....the charter challenge decision should be coming down any time now....

we are trying to fight for sex industry community inclusion here and on the prairies where forced licensing,etc. are already popping up but we have a better chance i believe if we focus our activities locally, here in the lower mainland. we have enough credibility to suceed in creating an open and fair industry....i hope. crossing fingers....

If they are caught they will be deported. I'm not sure why you think illegal SPs should or would be treated any differently from any other illegal foreign worker.

Btw, it is hard to disappear underground when you business depends on adds being placed in open forums every day, so that is not a valid argument. This is not like other illegal workers who can work in the shadows, the very nature of the work places them in the public eye.

But the cheap fakes imported most certainly DO undercut those brands, and are subject to vigorous enforcement.

Your comparison is not valid, you should be the damage done to real Rolex by the fake ones, which is real and very significant.

The proper comparison in our situation however would be to compare high end SPs to Rolex, the Craiglist/SW set with Timex, and the illegal immigrants as fake Timex. The real victims in that is not the "Rolex" ladies, but the "Timex" ladies, who are basically driven out of business by the cheap illegals.
