So pooners and poonettes are innately smarter than the public? 13 for me. Fracking made me pause for a sec.

I don't think I got a question about the earth's crust. Maybe the questions are randomized too.

Got 12 out of 13, misread question regarding earth's atmosphere and answered hydrogen. They were so easy that you just start flying through them and go oh, the universe is 75% hydrogen...what do you mean the question had nothing to to with that? Now I must go self-flagellate for a while.

funny

I never really went to school,

Outer space, its empty nothing,
but interesting enough,
hydrogen helium and dust,
hydrogen being the biggest, over fifty I think to seventy percent.

13 / 13 with only highschool

This just confirms my conclusion that 90% of people are stupid. Everyone of those questions were no brainers for which I have known the answers as long as I can remember.

Known universe best estimate of composition of "normal" matter (ignoring dark matter & dark energy):
  • Hydrogen ~74%
  • Helium ~25%
  • all other elements ~1%

I paid attention in school, but "school" is only one component of a complete education...

they took a sampling of 1006 *random* adults....obvious in a place where edumacation is considered secondary to monster truck rallys

12 for me, too. Got the make up of earth's crust wrong. And I knew the answer.
hmmmm...are there perhaps different questions at random ? i don't recall one regarding the earths crust
regardless, i answered hydrogen for the atmosphere question thinking they were referring to space, even though they asked about EARTHS atmosphere

Look left. Way left.
13 correct. Was rather easy, but that does not make me any better than anyone else.
Lots peep know about much more important stuff. I would rather know more about making a woman happy. Gotta keep practicing.

I have a feeling the comparison between us on the computer, at our leisure, and cold called respondants is somewhat unfair.
If you look at the full report around 50% of the wrong answers are "dont know"
meaning they didn't even bother trying to answer the multiple choice questions they had better things to do.

In case someone is adding up all of our scores for some reason I got them all the first time, and then today when I went through quickly to see the full report...
It seems I forgot that we dont have the gravity, or low temperatures, required to keep significant amounts of hydrogen in our atmosphere

13/13, had to think about the atmosphere one for a second. The rest were snap answers.

Representing the "only high school" team here pretty well :)
