I can understand if you're watching a game at a bar or gm place. Been seeing people not watch the game and wear that silly Jersey around. If it was a teen I'd be OK with it. But middle age men wearing that shit is beyond gay

If you don't wanna wear one, don't wear one... If someone else wants to wear a Canucks jersey, they are welcome to. If they want to wear a Red Sox Jersey... ok. How about a Celtics jersey... be my guest. It's there choice. Why does your opinion matter on what they wear.

Do you also have problems with people wearing under armor or lululemon when they aren't working out? What about people who wear concert t-shirts who aren't at the concert? Maybe we should also ban University Hoodies unless you are enrolled at that University and on campus at the time?

One other thing... is beyond gay an insult to you? I would think there would be a better place to use someone's sexual preferences as a slight than this board... perhaps the 1800s

Not sure why you think this is a Vancouver phenomena?
All cities with pro teams have this.....I'd say when I am in Calgary I notice more Flames jerseys.
Maybe the red just sticks out more.
When I lived in Kansas City, every second person is wearing something red with Chiefs on it.
Last time in Amsterdam you see all kind of people in the full soccer uniform.
Tight bright orange shorts and a white shirt with orange numbers, or the reverse.

I like to wear my jersey if I out doing chores or grocery shopping. Keeps me cool and dry in summer, warm and dry in winter.
Not cheap either, I think most people want to get more wear out of them, than 2-3, 3 hour hockey games each year.

It's hockey season. Same as dudes wearing NFL jerseys...football season. Gay? Some of those guys might be. Why don't you ask a few of them next gameday and see what sort of answer you'll get. It's called supporting your team. Don't like it? Too bad.

Wtf? Obviously you're not a real sports fan so you will never understand. And how is it beyond gay? Bigots will be bigots.

Beautifully said. Thanks for that sir.

samgomez please understand that homophobic slurs are just as distasteful to most of us as racist comments. How is wearing a uniform "beyond gay" and why does it matter if someone wearing a jersey IS gay? Don't understand your point really.

I agree that wearing shit would be "beyond gay". If gay is defined as men who participate in frequent anal sex, then wearing someone's shit, or even indeed your own shit, would be one beyond simply putting your cock into a shit receptacle. You've really opened my eyes.

You came on an escort message board where several of the ladies are openly bi-sexual and make a crass sexuality joke?

I don't own any jerseys but I do have lots of player t shirts of my fave players and I don't see anything wrong with that or with jerseys or hats. As long as I like it I don't care what someone else thinks I'm wearing by BC Lions Andrew Harris t shirt as I write this lol

I guess I'm that loser to :)

Your place or mine?
Yeah I would be more proud of the BC lions. I have a jersey. At least they are a winning team and proud to wear their winning colors.:clap2:

if it's a great uni,i.e. Habs,Hawks, yeah, why not wear it?

I will never understand....

1. why anyone would pay $ for, and wear one of those hideous Hallowe'en jerseys the Canucks had from late 70's
2.why the Canucks paid some designer approx $100,000(600-700,000 today)to come up with that vomit-inducing look.

I'd be happy to hear I am wrong on the payment, but I'm afraid I might be right.

meanwhile, perhaps Sam Gomez will approach Zach Kassian and tell him he looks "beyond gay" in his 'Nucks jersey.
the body cast will likely be big enough for all of us to sign.
