I don't see why you would unless she asks where you found her from. Unless you think that saying you found her on a review board will lead to a better session because you can review her?

In the same way that the gentlemen like to see how the ladies conduct themselves in the Perb lounge, it goes without saying that the ladies would feel the same. They should be afforded that same courtesy.

So, if you have nothing to hide, and have done some research about the lady, I see no reason to hide the fact that you are from Perb. In light of recent sad news events, asking your Perb handle is also a lady's way of achieving a small sense of security about your intentions.

And let's not forget that the gents often lurk behind interesting Perb handles, while most of the ladies use the name that they advertise with...

For me personally, No. It may imply that you are looking for extra/better services when you write a review.

It may give some "performance anxiety" if you tell her about your handle when you arrive. Tell her when you book, so she can look up your handle and posts to see if you are compatible.

Or just keep it to yourself.

Some ladies will ask for your Perb handle and check out your posts. If you have given another SP a nasty review, they may decline to see you.

Whenever I contact a new SP I say "It's BBB from Perb"

I had this conversation with a touring girl who advertised on the forums I had seen several times. She told me she would consider seeing someone off the boards before a random person, and then showed me the 250+ different txt msg's she had in the last 24 hours while in town. Her opinion was that perb/etc clients were less likely to screw around with negotiating rates or waste her time. She also told me she had a friend in the industry who hated it because the clients were too picky or had high expectations of service. Since then when I message someone off the board, i'll say in my initial txt I saw their add/post on the board, let them know I am interested, and then offer to either txt, pm, email or call. If they don't respond I chock it up to either they are already booked/too busy, or more interested in high volume quickies. Almost all advertising lady's here are touring, and it took me awhile to understand that some are not overly concerned with reputation/repeats, as they might not ever plan on coming back. So they rush as many clients as possible and prefer short bookings, which isn't what I am looking for.

I don't tell them because they should feel the pressure of a possible review (although I have been asked to leave reviews several times), but rather as a cue to say
A) I have a bit of experience, they don't have to worry about holding my hand or deal with a super nervous noobie
B) They can check out my history/reviews etc. and choose to see me (or not)
C) As someone with a bit of experience I have some expectations on "level of service" as well. If they are looking to scam their way through town it will most likely be easier imo to not deal with an "informed" client.

Good topic :)

There's 2 reasons, I like to know where my clients are calling from :)

1. If you say you're from perb, I can read your posts and get a bit of a feeling of who you are. I feel safer and more comfortable. The worlds a scary place. If you have tons of posts and reviews, chances are you're not an ax murderer. Whether you're from perb or not, or whether you're going to review of not, doesn't in any way change my level of service. I'm about repeat clients and building relationships. I don't care about reviews. I've never asked for a single one.

2. I like to know which advertising venue is the most effective. Over the years, through trial and error and by asking my clients where they found me, I've simplified where to advertise. I used to spend so much time (and money) on so many different sites. Now I'm on 3, sometimes 4 and occasionally in the Georgia straight.

Everyone has there own thoughts on this but I generally tell ladies about my board handle. I usually start out by saying I'm a board member in my initial contact and then if they ask for more info I tell them about my handle. I generally only see ladies that advertise on perb. I do that because generally I feel that ladies who are willing to spend money to advertise are not flakey and take there job seriously. I've only been burned once by a lady that advertised on here and I chalk that up to my fault for not doing my home work.
Great thread as I'm sure a lot of folks were wondering about this.
