If anyone complains about the heat, you'd be the typical Vancouverite who always complains about the small insignificant stuff but keeps your mouth shut when it really matters.

I remember last year, end of August. The pharmaceutical zombies of Vancouver were complaining about the heat and lack of rain. These same zombies complained about the rain and lack of sun a month earlier.

Love the heat. Sitting outside, ice cold drinks go down so easy, nice breeze off the water. I have two months ahead of loving vancouver weather before it gets miserable again. No a/c home or car - just slow down and live life easy.

Me three.

As a born and raised Vancouverite I have always felt we have one of the best climates in the world. DEFINITELY by far the best climate in Canada.

I don't mind rain. The thing I love about Vancouver is that for the vast majority of the year the temperature ranges from 5-25 C. Not too cold in the winter, not too hot in the summer. Perrrrrrfect. You will never hear me complain about Vancouver weather. Sure, the last few days and today are a bit too hot for my liking BUT the great thing (like those very rare occasions we see white shit....oh, i mean snow) is that it only lasts a few days and then we are back to our normal more seasonal 22-25 (which to me is the perfect temperature)

To each their own weather wise but for me there are only three kinds of weather I don't like-too hot, too cold and snow. We rarely get any of that in Van Groovy so hoo yah!!!

Can somebody please help? I was up in Redding (near Lake Shasta) on Sunday when it got uip to 112 degrees.

What would that be in Celsius? Best I can figue, about 45.

But Las Vegas was even hotter.

Yes, that is correct.

When I came over to the mainland on Saturday the pilot and I agreed that it was hot and smoggy. You could clearly see a layer of brown haze over the city.
Sunday seemed even hotter and today it feels a little cooler.

Seriously you three? I hope you all have some very stylish gumboots!!!! Or do you prefer a big umbrella?
I don't even own a pair of rain boots, and I rarely carry an umbrella! I just love cool weather, and I love green landscapes! My youth was (mis) spent in dry, hot Alberta and my first visit to the ocean (here) was life-changing!

Gumboots were one of the first things I bought for myself when I moved to the West Coast.

I got a really great umbrella last month when I was down in the states.

My umbrella will never, ever blow inside out again!
