Big deal....I went to CAtholic school run by the Sadistic Sisters of Satan, and they would strap boys and girls for stepping out of line, for the smallest of infractions. I remember one of my best friends, a girl, getting the strap in Grade 2....she would have been 7 years old for you bleeding hearts.

in my day the strap and the office meant NOTHING...

the absolute WORST punishment was to contact your parents about your misbehaviour - because that meant a trip to the woodshed with the old man FOR SURE!

i'd take a mile of duct tape over a trip to the woodshed with the old man any day... just sayin' :fear:

It's a crying shame that the legacy of a teacher well respected by her peers, students and former students is going to be tainted by this. Talking about making mountains out of mole hills. When did society get so soft?

As I said... contract negotiation time... it's about perception. Evil, bad teachers = no public support in contract talks. Politics as usual. After all, they needed SOMETHING to distract the public from the 35% pay raise that Christy Crunch handed out
