Some hotels (like those by the airport) have rooms at a day-use rate, which is a fraction of the regular rate for the night. Just call around and ask. But still, they aren't gonna be all that cheap.

Personally if it were me in this situation, I would pay the $$ for a half day rate at a good hotel near the airport. Get room service and make it memorable.

I just checked hotels.com out of interest. A room at the Moda is $85 on friday night. You need 4 stars (doesn't sound like it but whatever) then the westin is $129 or the Terminal City Club is $145. After that you are pushing on up over $200.

Hehe. In my younger days, UBC had a million and one places to get a quickie. I've even done it in the library a few times. Lots of quiet little nooks.
