My cousin and I hitch-hiked to Edmonton to see Steppenwolf in 1969. Bikers...a lot of bikers. it was very cool.

My first concert was a Festival put on by a local radio station. the bill was The Cardigans, Prodigy, Beck, Jamiroquai, Echo & the Bunnymen, Local H, Luscious Jackson, The Verve Pipe, Blondie, Kula Shaker, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Ben Folds Five, Third Eye Blind, Reel Big Fish, K's Choice, Soul Coughing, and Jimmie's Chicken Shack. (You can guess the year)

My dad dropped md off to meet friends from HS. We split some ill gotten beers, moshed, crowd surfed, and carried on. It was a hell of a time. And I ended up buying the album for nearly all of the acts.

I bet you could smell the patchouli for miles around during that one....

Rage Against the Machine, Plaza of Nations, we got in for free cause we knew the security guard, some dude did a swan dive off a pole. It was crazy, loud and awesome.

Made my adolescent brain spin.

For me it was the Clash at Leeds University (UK) back in 1978. I remember walking around just amazed at the punks and loving every second of it. Still the best concert I ever went to.

First concert was Stevie Wonder - awesome. First outdoor concert was, Frampton, Queen, Trooper, in Edmonton - Common Wealth Stadium, might have been another band ??? to wasted to remember!

Anybody remember the Retinal Circus on Davie Street ? It was concert every weekend.

Kiss, late 70's. I was in junior high at the time. All I remember is how they appeared on stage from below. I've seen them 4or 5 more times since, once without makeup.
