Pretty good songs about soiled doves:

Soul Asylum - Without A Trace

Prince - Darling Nikki

Eminem - A Kiss

Call it my fromage poetic side, but here's a poem/song I wrote that came to me after seeing an SP:

Happily Ever After

Your four o'clock
walks through your door
I smile and
You smile
A wink
A peck
An embrace
If for a moment
There was something...
A fleeting flame
Flickers in lonely hearts

Sixty minutes
Another customer
On the clock but
Six seconds of your eyes
Touching mine
Is all I need
To fill warmth
Inside me
Let's pretend
If for a moment
There is no one else
Just us
*
Five to five
Booked for an hour
My time is almost up
Human touch commodified
A wink
A peck
An embrace
If for a moment
There was something...
A fleeting flame
Flickers in lonely hearts
beautiful poem
heres one i doubt anyone knows of

Hmmmmm.....
HankQuinlan lists Tina Turner's Private Dancer and I have to agree but for reasons many might not understand.
The song is about Tina selling her soul to the devil in exchange for fame and fortune.
She is the devils private dancer. The ultimate form of prostitution.

I will post an explanation of the song if I can find it to cut and paste.
In truth, you provided an explanation of what the director of a garish 80s MTV video likely intended his interpretation to be. The song itself (without the video) is just another plaint from a taxi dancer/stripper/implied prostitute about her dreary, dehumanized existence (and presumably doomed hopes for a better life), no more than that: "I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money, I'll do what you want me to do." "You don't look at their faces or ask them their name."

Hey HankQuinlan,

You are judging intent which we can't fairly do.

There are many layers to decoding the song and video so my sense is you are only seeing 1 of them. Did you take into account that this is not a unique analysis instead it is par for the course. ie all music and videos. Take into account that she is a Freemason which is a tax free church that is best described as Luciferian. Did she incorporate her religious beliefs into her writing or video. Did you recognize the Freemason symbols and codes in the video? If so you could assume her intent might have been beyond expressing a dehumanized mundane existence?

There are 2 main messages in songs and videos. One for the public- usually a love story. Second one of spirituality /lusiferianism whose story trumps the first. This is why pop videos and songs often don't make sense.

Hotel California is a song that is about the deal or the ritual though the video isn't. This example is to show that songs are actually intended to be what I am saying. Stairway to Heaven is about enlightenment as an example.
Not to be picky, but she didn't write the song. Mark Knopfler did, and gave it to her instead of recording it for Dire Straits. Again, not talking about the video -- for all I know she was involved in that kind of intention with the video. But the song is just the song; nothing in the lyrics to justify a hi-falutin' thesis.

Lovely ladies /Waiting for a bite /Waiting for the customers /Who only come at night /Lovely ladies /Ready for the call /Standing up or lying down /Or any way at all /Bargain prices up against the wall

Lovely ladies /Waiting in the dark /Ready for a thick one /Or a quick one in the park /Long time short time /Any time, my dear /Cost a little extra if you want to take all year!

Lovely lady! /What yer waiting for? /Doesn't take a lot of savvy /Just to be a whore /Come on, lady /What's a lady for?

Old men, young men, take 'em as they come /Harbour rats and alley cats and every kind of scum /Poor men, rich men, leaders of the land /See them with their trousers off /they're never quite as grand /All it takes is money in your hand!

Lovely ladies /Going for a song /Got a lot of callers /But they never stay for long
