I knew this day was coming but never actually thought I'd have to face it but my old pooning vehicle finally bit the dust.
Maybe it is fitting given I've pretty well retired from the hobby but it was still sad to get the news.
What's a pooning vehicle you ask? Well, I have 3 vehicles. A nice car, a truck and an old beater car. When I would see an SP I never used my nice car or truck becasue they have personalized plates, which can give me away. The "beater" was a very non-descript sedan with regular plates. Very much the type of car that would just blend in where ever I parked it.
Perfect for the anonymity I needed in this hobby.
She was acting up lately and I knew she needed some work. Today I took her to my mechanic and he called me with the bad news. Basically she needs way too much work and it just doesn't make sense to spend it on this old car.
I've decided that it's time to let her go as I have seldom need of her anymore but the memories that car and I share. :eyebrows:
Going to go out tonight, start her up one more time, throw in a cassette (yes I said cassette), have a couple of beers and say good bye.
Will call a local charity tomorrow and they'll tow her away for me.
Cheers
