I'm sorry...I just think this behaviour is exceptionally unprofessional, and signifies desperation...please please please come fuck me, cause no one else seems to be interested...so sad...

Playful Alex has it correct, that essentially is the message, but so what, that is the message!!! It gets responses, just like ads do. I have stayed with my long term gal in ways her continuous flow of messages has made it an adventure. But it is a very discreet flow into this facility, undetected by others. safe is the anchor.

one lady texted me at work i said i was in a meeting can;t talk now. she then phoned me while i was in the meeting,

my feeling is if your a regular with some one she can if she wants find out who you are where you work etc if she wants.
even if your not a regular she can if she really wants to find out everything about you she just has to have a big need to
so my sp knows everything about me, i have held out my driver's licence for her to read, she has my phone number i have told her to use it if she needs to she has but rarely
i guess one adopts different procedures if you see a lot of different women

It's random texting, to any previous client that will listen, that I think is going overboard.
Of course, some guys will welcome it, while other guys will freak out.
Is it considered inappropriate to ask for permission to text in the future?

I understand the thoughts of the ladies who err on the side of caution and discretion but I don't think this is a "one size fits all" situation. For the record, I am single and I live alone. It's very rare for any lady to send me an unsolicited text or email but I have to be honest that on those rare occasions that I've gotten one, it's always been welcome and depending on the nature of it, might even bring a smile to my face. I think it's nice if someone just sends even a quick hello text to ask how you're doing. So, any ladies that have my number or email, please feel free to email or text me out of the blue anytime. It's always nice to hear from you.

SP's might think we're nice, and many are. But to them, we are first, and foremost, a source of revenue. Period.
If they call you saying that, then assume it is for free. That should teach them a lesson about unsolicited texting, especially with messages like that, when they have no idea who might be around you that can read it.
Maybe you have a 10 year old niece playing with your phone, and these two idiots think it would be awesome to send off unsolicited racy messages when you haven't contacted them regarding seeing them soon. Maybe you should direct them to read this thread, send them a link to it in a text lol.
