So I'm browsing reviews on Perb today and see something that's pretty common: a reviewer complains that a GFE provider wouldn't kiss him, but another client chimes in, saying he got DFK from her. What gives? Why are some guys getting better services than others??

Even though I take pride in being a GFE provider, there are times that I too have to refuse kissing. I HATE having to withhold services; I love kissing and want to be able to french kiss ALL my clients.

If a client really wants kissing during his session, he probably brushes his teeth really well beforehand. Maybe he even takes extra steps like rinsing with listerine, gargling salt water, chewing gum, even avoiding garlic and onions the day before his appointment. He pays a lot of money for a GFE encounter, so he wants to get his money's worth! If he is denied kissing, he's left wondering "WTF? I did everything I was supposed to, right?!"

The guys that get french kissing every time know that brushing, flossing, rinsing, gargling, gum chewing, even dietary restriction ALL TOGETHER prevent only a TINY percentage of bad breath. Almost ALL bad breath (up to 95%) is caused by bacteria on the back of the tongue, which can be fixed with this magical little tool. If you don't believe me, here's a few quotes from Wikipedia (backed by scientific studies) about bad breath and the effectiveness of tongue scrapers:

"decaying bacteria produce volatile sulphur compounds on the rear of the tongue; these molecules account for 80 to 95 percent of all cases of halitosis"
"Scientific studies have shown tongue bacteria produce malodorous compounds and fatty acids, that may account for 80 to 95 percent of all cases of bad breath"
"Clinical studies have shown that using tongue cleaners on a daily basis has a significant effect on eliminating anaerobic bacteria and decreasing oral malodor"
"Dental specialists generally assume that a majority of cases of halitosis originate on the back of the tongue, an area that can be cleaned efficiently by using an ergonomically designed tongue cleaner"

So run out Shoppers and get one; it's only a few bucks, but it will enhance your escort experience tenfold. :thumb:

Now let's get kissing!!

Hummm... Very interesting! I very much enjoy kissing, and though I've never used one of these bad actors before, I brush my tongue on a regular basis as well as my teeth. I wonder how that compares with this little tool in terms of efficacy...?

Thank you for asking. From the Wikipedia entry on tongue scrapers:

"The top surface of the tongue can be cleaned using a tongue cleaner, a tongue brush/scraper or a toothbrush. However, toothbrushes are not considered as effective for this purpose because they are designed for brushing the teeth, which have a solid structure unlike the spongy tissue of the tongue"

Now kiss me, you fool.

I find the worst yet most common bad breath issue is smoking. I can often smell it on someone's breath if I'm just talking to them at a close distance, then as if that's not bad enough, I have to make out with them, which is very hard to do, even though I love kissing!

Since I don't smoke I really don't know what can be done to solve that. Maybe try not smoking for at least an hour or two before you see an SP, or chug half a carton of Listerine, lol. As nice as it would be for you to do this for me lol it's also for you. If I'm immensely disgusted by the taste of your mouth, try as I might, you're just not going to get as good dfk as someone with a clean mouth.

In the way past, I had, what I guess is called halitosis; but I had never really brushed my tongue before in my life. A gf at the time actually commented on it but instead of being a mean bitch about it (heh), she went all clinical and wanted to know how I brushed etc. When she found out I didn't brush my tongue, she was ahah! started doing it and boom, big improvement in breath. Been doing it ever since.

I don't know if you have to buy this device, I just use my toothbrush (and had to learn to control a really bad gag reflex I have - still have it, but I time it - makes me appreciate women who take a cock into their mouth even more heheh); but when buying a new brush recently, I noticed many come with pads now for tongue "scraping" as it were.

Good tip for the guys here. Not just for SPs and GFE but for life. :D :thumb:

I quit smoking about 2yrs ago. I used e-cigarettes to do it and still use one (without nicotine) on occasion since the damned urges never quite go away - that whole oral fixation thing. I was what I thought was a stealthy smoker. I showered every day with full hair scrubbing, changed clothes often, even had a smoking jacket when I had a smoke out on the patio. I *beleved* I was a stealth smoker because once in a blue moon when I had a smoke in front of someone they would say "wow, you smoke?"

But that was only fooling. No matter how much you try to stealth, you still reek of burning crappy tobacco smell (cigar, quality cigar smell is another thing entirely). When I'm at a bar or pub or beer place I can really really really tell now when someone has just come in from a smoke as it just clouds all around them. I asked a date recently "did I smell like that when I came in after a smoke?" and thye were yep, yep you sure did.

Anyway smoking is hard to hide, and the close you are to a persons mouth the harder still. That goes for SPs who smoke too. Gargling, the works won't hide it. Hair seems to act just like baking soda does in the fridge it absorbs the order and keeps it there.

A sidenote about the e-cigs. They actually kind of act like air fresheners and very mild breath fresheners, especially the non-tobacco flavoured eliquids. My ex said she enjoyed kissing me after I had a puff because I tasted like strawberries ;) (it was a strawberry-coca cola eliquid I was using). Hrm. Have you candy and eat it too? :D

PS Violet - you're a true trooper for still going LFK and DFK with something you obviously don't like (kissing smokers!).

Some other not-so-well-known tips for fresh breath:

Drink plenty of water
Drink peppermint tea and take peppermint capsules
Chew gum on the way to an appointment (or use Biotene) to prevent dry mouth (cause of bad breath)
Use alcohol-free mouthwashes (alcohol contains sugars and causes dryness)
Check regularly for tonsil stones (tonsilloliths) - another cause of bad breath
Use zylitol in place of regular sugar.
Eat parsley, apple, lemon, mint, cinnamon, oranges and cilantro - they all help freshen breath.

Ask me if you have any questions. I consider myself an armchair fresh-bresh enthusiast!

It has always been my understanding that you should NEVER brush your teeth before a session.
Depending on the amount of time before the next appopintment, brushing after may not be a good idea.
Just have good oral habits and freshening your breath easilly should not be an issue.

I am not a Doctor, it is just something I have heard, on several occasions, in the past!

Hahaha... Okay, I'll bite - how do you check your tonsillar crypts for tonsilloliths? And assuming you find one, how would you go about removing it? It seems like poking around back there with a pointy foreign object would be a bad idea.

Gargle with warm salt water, then use a q-tip to find and dislodge them. It's perfectly safe! :p

I've only ever heard this in regards to flossing, but I guess if you're a really vigorous brusher, that could be an issue.

The good news is that (like you say), fresh breath is a result of good oral hygiene, not just tooth-brushing. The main point of brushing your teeth is to fluoridate them and prevent tartar buildup and cavities. Brushing your teeth helps prevent diseases that cause bad breath, but your teeth themselves don't actually smell (unless they're rotting or something). Bad breath comes mostly from the tongue.

So yeah, if you take care of your mouth and clean your tongue regularly, you don't need to brush your teeth right before an appointment. Drink a big glass of water, chew some sugar-free gum (mint or cinnamon), or gargle with non-alcoholic mouthwash (Tom's of Maine is my favourite)

Thanks for your input!

Does having a lot of extra spit help to counteract bad breath? I had heard it helps with tooth decay..
Yes, saliva helps mediate the amount of bacteria in your mouth. In a dry mouth, bacteria will multiply like bunnies on ecstasy!!

That's why you get morning breath - your mouth hasn't been producing saliva all night (your body knows it's sleeping and not eating, so it doesn't bother making saliva). As a result, those bacteria bunnies get a good 8 hours to make a lot of stink! (This is also why old people always seem to have bad breath - they don't produce enough saliva)

Sometimes Emmy, it`s not about breath.

I wrote a large thread last year about just this subject. Why wouldn`t this girl kiss me (or rarely kissed me) despite myself being late 20`s in appearance/ or early 30`s at the worst, most women find me quite attractive, impeccable breath/hygiene (yes..I always scrub my tongue and use high-end non-alcohol mouthwash eg. Therabreath).....and I really felt a connection with this girl, and still do. My fragile male ego has never completely recovered.

How important is kissing in a GFE (Girl Friend Experience)

Excellent thread, Miss E...thanks for thinking of it, as it's a topic worth discussing, for sure! So many people are not aware that they might be responsible, in some part, for their experience in this area...

1) And this is a completely different subject than not getting kissed for personal reasons...

2) And it's a completely different subject than false advertising...

It's about making sure that you do everything on your end, to get the experience that you're shooting for. And, if that doesn't happen (maybe re: the above-stated reasons 1 and 2) then you have a right to complain...

And, btw blackcad, when someone won't tell you why they're doing or not doing something, don't lose any sleep over it. Seriously, let it go. It's too crazy-making to try and figure people out, when they won't be forthright with what's going on with them. Don't put yourself through it. Move on...

Check out my new goodies!

This stuff is awesome. It's called OraBrush Tongue Foam. It comes with this nubbly little brush that kind of feels like a kitty's tongue, so using it is a bit like making out with a mint-flavoured cat.
