Favorite cocktails

Depends how messed up or how sober you want to be after a few Favourite Cocktails.
I was designated driver last night so I might be havin a few tonight
Lately just good stuff has interested me whether its a single malt scotch, single malt Irish Whiskey, or a good quality tequila. Just the sort of drink you sip on and enjoy the taste.
My favourites tend to be whiskey/bourbon based cocktails.

Mmmm whiskey sour is nice... I usually drink tequila, soda and fresh lime juice when I'm out and about, although The Brazilian at Cactus Club is freakin fantastic!
In a handful establishments, I'm known to not only have my drinks served "neat" but also placed centered on the coaster. Fine liquids should always be treated with the utmost respect and presented as such.

I very rarely enjoy the hard stuff....when I do I prefer Gibsons Sterling with Dr.Pepper...it sounds odd but it is super smooth and very tasty.
I have thought up another concoction but have yet to try it out....that being a shot of Drambuie over ice and topped off with Dandelion & Burdock....I think it would be like electric coolaide...super smooth with both flavours working very well togeather.

Manhattans! L'Abattoir makes a fancy one called the 'Donald Draper' with bourbon, apricot liqueur, peychaud's bitters & an atomized spritz of absinthe. Mmm. Pourhouse has some dangerously yummy cocktails too.

I fall into the name trap. In addition to the "Donald Draper", I've had the "Sookie Stackhouse" at Ouisi (a good choice for those who like "girly" drinks - hey, Odette, I'm looking at you!)
Oh, and Clive's in Victoria makes a delicious Singapore Sling. I think it's one of my new favourite drinks.
The bartender at Pourhouse recommended the Greenwich Sour and it was pretty good. Yups! Pourhouse is such an awesome place for cocktails and the Keefer Bar too. Looking forward to discovering more from their mixologists. :nod:
My favorite drink to imbibe is Bacardi Limon, with water & a splash of lime juice....

The Pegu Club Cocktail at The Diamond in Gastown is so refreshing for this summer.

For the ladies, I used to make a cocktail that I never gave a name to:
Apricot Brandy, Strawberry Schnapps, pineapple juice, lime juice, and a splash of 7up. Deliciously fruity!

It was always my fallback cocktail when a pretty girl didn't know what to get. I'd ask them, "do you like fruity cocktails?" and after a sip or two, it always worked...
