Hi everyone,

I recently received a PM from another member who basically told me I should stop posting because I've "retired" and aside from mindless drivel and negative comments on pooning in Wpg, have nothing to really contribute in the way of reviews.

So, I'm going to put this before a jury of my peers.

1) Jethro can stay and continue to post. We love his insight, experience as well as his wacky sense of humour. :nod:

2) Jethro can stay but only lurk. We don't need to hear from some "has been" with nothing useful to contribute. :yield:

3) Jethro should be tarred and feathered and run out of Dodge.

EDIT: There are more than a few very prolific posters who have NEVER reviewed.

If the guy has a problem with what you have to say he can do two things.

1- put you on ignore and move on

2- post his own opinion and stand behind his words.

I can see part of where this comes from. Lately you've been all kinds of down on the biz and the girls on a fair number of your posts. It's a reveiw board. If you're posting a lot of negatives, makes you wonder why you're here. If you have a bad review post the negatives all you want, but if you're dumping on the biz all they time, just for the sake of dumping on the biz, you gotta wonder why are you here? Doesn't mean all your posts need to be full of sunshine or even about the biz, but maybe dial down the other stuff a bit.

I didn't send JB the PM, for the most part I enjoy his posts, but I see where the person who sent the PM is coming from. A couple of times I have started reading JB's posts and thought 'oh no, here he goes again, if the biz is so bad, why does he stay on the board and dump on it all the time?'

You have every right to be here and to express your opinions, no doubt there, but try some sunshine with the dung and see what grows.

I've decided to review again, not because I started up again in the hobby but because I wanted to give something back to the community after all this time. You've always given to this community, Jethro, whether or not you have been active in the hobby or not and ya gotta admire that. So to those who have told you that you shouldn't participate, all I can say is what I think whenever someone has told me I shouldn't post my creative writing on a 'serious review board'.

While I have to admit a deep affinity for a good old' fashioned tar & feather party, preferably performed by villagers sporting pitchforks and torches, the person who PM'd Jethro needs to get over himself. If you don't want to read JB's posts, use the handy Ignore function or DON'T READ HIS POSTS! I proudly vote for JB to stay. Feel free to PM me to whine about my opinion, I'd relish the oppurtunity to swear. A lot.

Just to be clear the person who PM'd me was complaining that I was ruining business for her and some other local gals by posting particular threads. Kind of like the coach who blames the media for his team's lousy play or win-loss record.

While I appreciate what George said in his post about negative comments about the hobby I would like to say that in one case I was simply stating where I was at this time in my poonng career and ready for a break. Did many other guys then jump in and reply they felt the same and the thread became more about the sad state of pooning in Winnipeg? Yes but that was not my intention nor my fault the thread went that way.
In the second thread I was simply reporting what I had been told by an SP. I was actually hoping to get guys to maybe think twice about searching for that BP gem and stick with the reliable local ladies, not criticizing the local talent.

All I can say in response to the person who thinks I am ruining her business with my posts is, I wish my words were that powerful or influential. I'd become the ruler of Canada. But alas they are not. The other members here are all intelligent human beings who can form their own opinions and have free will to do as they wish. Rather than sending me PM's telling me to shut up, you should concentrate on improving your service, appearance, advertising, website, prices or what ever else it might take to get your phone ringing again.
