I remember when we didn't use garbage bags. Ya just threw your garbage in a can and the poor garbage man had to throw all that crap into the back of the truck.

I remember door to door encyclopedia salesmen. Asking something like $1000 for a set. Thank heavens for Google.

ABC's Wide World of Sports: The agony of defeat... as the skier wiped out in a dramatic fashion.

I remember when McDicks would have their burgers in styrofoam containers, then onto the piece of cardboard with paper, and now just the paper. I also remember when Subway cut their bread the old way. I am going to plead the 5th on weather I ate those or not ;)

Video stores! How about record stores?

I remember not having been to a record store for a very long time. I decided I needed a certain record and waltzed on over, only to stand and stare about with confusion.

"Where do you keep the records?" I asked a fellow...."They don't make them anymore" came the reply, and the sarcastic smile.

I heard on CBC that a set of encyclopedias will be worth something in a decade or two. They stopped printing recently.

Pop machines ...

I remember being able to reach our skinny kid sized arms up those vending machines and grabbing free pops ... not that we would do that .

I remember driving over this
I remember riding my bike on that Cambie St bridge going to work and when going over the wood planks, some of them would pop up. That's a later pic as I also remember buses saying BC Hydro on them and not BC Transit. Think it was nickel or dime to ride the bus at that time.
