Luongo-Canucks marriage on the rocks?

Schneider looks like Vancouver’s new No. 1

Vancouver Canucks’ call means Cory Schneider No. 1 goalie, Roberto Luongo tradable

Not trying to be a troll as some may suggest here but it looks like Canucks Luongo's days are numbered........

By the way, I am a Canucks fan.
Nope...Vancouver is stuck with Luongo.....no team would take him and because of his "no movement" clause he cant be sent down to the minors...he is just a huge expensive millstone on the neck of the Vancouver franchise.

Go Kings.

All indications are that I may get my wish.

Keep Schneider and let Luongo go.

Not sure how these Capologists will do it but my gut is they will trade him somewhere to get someone else with a huge contract. Assuming of course that Luongo approves since he is on a no trade contract.

He's a decent goalie. Way overpriced but then again so is Bieksa. Luongo has played well in the LA series. I like Schneider better but there certainly is less pressure on the number 2 goalie. It doesn't hurt to have 2 pretty good goalies on your team...the issue is obviously the price tag that comes with one of them.

Maybe he would be more than happy to go back to playing for a team where he can fly under the radar...go out for dinner with his family and not be recognized, and doesn't have to worry about being front page headlines every game night.

Brian Burke and Dave Nonis in Maple Leaf land could use a goalie.....

Fukn Mason Raymond...shitty back check.
In total agreement......

You know I am shocked that none of the Canuck Mujahideen have come on the boards to defend the their beloved Nucks! According to one Taliban, Raymond is a 20+ goal sniper!

I'll believe it when i see it, a few teams in the market for a goalie though,Tampa, Toronto,Edmonton too name a few.
I doubt the Oilers would take Luongo. He is at his peak now and the Oilers would want someone younger. Plus we already have Horcoff as a financial drag and cannot afford another one.

Oilers have over 20 million in cap space next year.Toronto has 7 million, so nucks would probably have to take a bigger contract in return. Tampa has 16 million in cap space next year.

Worst team in the league CBJ needs a puck stopper. Seems they have an unhappy Captain on a large contract too. :D

If they can hang on and get to game 5, we won't be wondering who will be the starting goalie.

And a second over all pick, doubt Lou would want to go there though.
Oh I agree but he is a proud guy.

I don't think he could take being a huge payroll guy here and being the #2 goalie.

Florida and Tampa may be more like it since his wife's family is from Florida. As long as we don't get Lecavalier in return. Now that would be a turd of a trade.
