Sedin twins' production gone, Lou sucks, and defense sloppy! The way they lost to Montreal tonight is very concerning. This is not the time for the soul searching.

PP is non-existant and I would have started Schnider tonight, the kid is hot! AV never listens to me though
Exactly!! Canucks have been in a slump then we finally win with schneider yet coach v goes back to Luongo. Didn't he learn anything in the playoffs last year? We need a Mike Keenan coaching who puts in the hot goalie no matter who he is or how much he makes.

Sedins have 1 point total the last 7 games.
Kesler has only 1 multi-point game in the last 40.

But its Luongo's fault?

The team is coasting, second place is wrapped up. They don't have anyone pushing them. Like detroit and st louis.
The only thing really concerning, is that lack of powerplays in the league in general.

They're lacking motivation at this stage of the season. They've secured division title and guaranteed top three positioning for all intents and purposes. Now they're focused on the playoffs.

They should rest players IMO, like Kesler, Booth. Can't have them hurt leading up to the playoffs.

Well, they get rest until Wednesday, but sit them out a couple games here and there.

Limping into the playoffs makes the Nucks ripe for a first round upset by the 8th seed. I hope I'm wrong...

They won't get the #1 seed...more like 2nd or 3rd...

The only top team ripping it up right now would be St. Louis, if they win the Presidents trophy does anyone really care? It's that hard time of year where the bottom 8 in the playoff order are fighting even to make it into the playoffs & there's a very real fear of burnout or peaking too early. Biggest fear for the Canucks imo would be for an injury to one of there top six forwards or there top 4 d-men. 1st round is always the most dangerous as a bottom dweller might take some momentum with them into the playoffs But they're usually over achieving & will eventually burn out(hence the term Cinderella team)
I think they'll be fine, even if they back into the playoffs as long as they don't suffer any injuries(well i wouldn't shed any tears if Luongo went down)

I'm hoping your right! But if the playoffs started today they would play Phoenix and unless they had a total collapse they should make it past the 1st round.

But if they face Chicago in the first round their out... Either way they won't make it past the third round.

Actually at this rate it would be the 7th seed as with the way the Blues are playing they will take the #1 seed in the conference. The seven seed could be half a dozen teams at this point. If they meet Dallas or Calgary, I think the Canucks will be bounced early. I think the team out of the west this year is Nashville, as they haven't seemed to have had a prolonged slump this year. With crack D, great goaltending and 4 lines, its where the smart money lies. And here's to hoping Montreal tanks so they can get a top 5 pick.

What's the best way to turn this team around? Put Cory in and rest twins for a while?

Relax guys. It's a slump and it's better they do it now than playoff time. They'll turn things around soon enough. The Sedins kill me. They play so effortlessly when they are firing on all cylinders. And yet that same effortless play pisses me off when they suck. It looks like they are putting in a half-assed effort when you want to see Kesler like intensity from them.

I hope so too ;)

Its the age old dilemma of not wanting any injuries at this stage vs. limping into the playoffs and either getting all fired up or continuing the downward spiral.

I think there is alot more to it than meets our eyes.
That game with Habs meant nothing , so why go out and bang and crash?
Get all brusied and battered for what , to please the fans ?
They have to protect and let some of them coast a bit , "just dont get hurt" is what many are thinking.
But guys like Kassian and Hansen ,Raymond have to pick up the slack and they are not.
I liked the Kassian trade at first but am now wondering about this kid....
Lets go into the playoffs in good shape and healthy this year.
go canucks go !!1

just a minor blemish, nothing to get worried about.
I'm liking this version of the Canucks heading into the SC playoffs.
more size and grit, good bench depth and the pain of Games 6 and 7 vs Boston will serve
as motivating factor. Go Canucks Go!
