I gotta ask what has a 6.5ltr V12 that generates 640hp??

And I'm just curious about tht 1580cc Flat 4/80hp. Interesting....

Everyday car: 2 litre V6 140hp - 2009 KIA Sportage
Business / Evening out: 4.7 litre V8 430hp - 2011 Maserati Granturismo S

Late Spring, all Summer and early Fall: 6.5 litre V12 640hp - 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Coupe

Also in storage, an old collectable that I drive periodically in the summer: 1580cc Flat 4 80hp - 1963 356B Porsche which I will probably save for my nephew.

Fiat 124 Spider? Pretty little car. It's 4 door sibling's tooling and manufacturing line was sold to Russia where it became the Lada.

Back in my college days, I owned one of those. It was green with a tan interior, and boy was it ever a chick magnet. It also helped that it wasn't one of those rich exotic cars too, like a ferrari, as I think that would attract girls but put them on the defensive. This little fiat convertible gave them fun and romantic ideas. I adored that car. Then one summer day it the radiator blew up and it overheated within 5 minutes, hauled it to the nearest garage and found out the engine was burnt to a crisp. No money being a college student, so my Fiat days were over. Later when I was able to save enough money working part time I bought a Triumph TR7 convertible, and I liked that car even more...especially the engine. But it was much less a chick magnet than the Fiat.

Living vicariously through myself
Wow,you're one lucky guy to have an original Hemi Daytona in your garage.Sounds like you've had if for awhile...were you one of the fortunate ones who bought it when prices were still reasonable?

A couple years ago I picked up one of my bucket list cars which was a 70 Roadrunner hardtop and this one is loaded with cool options.I could'nt swing the extra for a Hemi at the time as it would have easily tripled the price but I'm still stoked with this particular car.It has the standard 335 horse 383 big block with the 727 automatic and still gets up and goes.

Just got a Toyota Venza. 5 Doors, all the creature comforts, 2.7 Liter 182 horsepower engine. It replaces a car that was on my previous employment's lease plan. So far, I like the Toyota. I wanted to go smaller and have been renting cars that I thought I might buy. Ford was a contender, but I don't like the "twitchy" steering. I also rented a Chevy Cruze and didn't much like it. Rented a Honda and it's too hard to climb out of, loved the engine.

I also have a "Garage Baby"

1969 Dodge Charger Daytona one of the 70 that were built with the 426 Hemi street engine. There were a total of 503 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona built but many had the 440 R/T package. There were also some 426 Hemi racing engine Dodge Charger Daytona built for the Chrysler racing team.

The big difference between the racing Hemi and the street Hemi is the carburetors. The racing Hemi has a single 4 barrel to meet NASCAR rules. The street Hemi has two big Carter 4 barrels. The rods, crank and pistons are different. The racing engine has lighter moving parts inside, it's the same engine block but the heads and intake manifold are different.

Mine is Orange

Mine has the 4 speed standard transmission with the Hurst shifter, I also put a Halibrand Quick Change Rear End on the car. (still have the original axle) The Hemi was blue printed, bored, stroked and the ports polished because I blew it up when I was young and stupid. So it's a bit more displacement than the original 426 cubic inches and also puts out just under 600 horsepower instead of the stock 425 horsepower.

The car also has the Plymouth Superbird ducts copied into the front valence (I also have the original sheet metal) because the Daytona had a cooling problem and the Superbird had the problem fixed. You couldn't drive the Daytona downtown at low speed without it over heating with the original sheet metal.

Here's a page with the original specifications - - I never got the gas mileage they claim - 8mpg if I featherfoot it

Thank you J.C. I never dreamed of having such toys but after a couple of health scares, I thought I would go "all out" and indulge in a couple of silly toys. I am not by any means a writer of any sort. I'll leave those to the experts (Mr. Tant and company). It's been probably a little over a year since I've been with an escort although I am friends with a couple of independents and have gone out as friends / dates without the meter running. As of late, my activity has been primarily the R&T. Even at that, it's sporadic as new projects has kept me rather busy.
