Bellicheck would have drafted him to be just like Julian Edleman (spelling?) imo, which is something Tebow said he would not do. And scouting was pretty much bang on about Tebow's on field abilities (he's a bad QB). Only thing the scouts misjudged was his confidence and leadership abilities, which for years has been stated scouting cannot predict. Yes the defense lost the game for them, but lets give credit where credit is due, the defense largely won all those other games for them as well. The QB change did exactly what it was supposed to do, lit a fire under the team and everyone played better. That's why the Broncos won games, not because Tebow is amazing. I could care less about Tebow, but I do hate the Broncos and always have.Lots of Tebow hate now that he lost, but the defense lost that game. It was a successful season for the Broncos, too many folks forget how bleak things were with Kyle Orton starting. The QB change saved the season & the Broncos played better than what their talent would dictate. For whatever reason the team as a whole bought into the magic season & every team in the NFL would kill to have their players play better than what they should. Tebow is scary to the NFL establishment because it puts into question all of the scouting/ conventional wisdom. Plus Bill Bellicheck (NFL genius that all seem to bow before) was going to draft him 3 picks later. I am not a huge Tebow fan, but my god every Denver game was exciting to watch until the end, in a league where if you are leading at the end of the 3rd quarter the game is over...
You sound a little biased, not a bronco fan lol. Confidence and leadership are far harder to teach than mechanics...I am not a Tebow worshiper, but he is fun to watch. He has a future because he is big, smart, marketable and fun to watch. Plus he is pretty unlikely to be the guy pistol whipping a stripper after a 2 day meth run....Bellicheck would have drafted him to be just like Julian Edleman (spelling?) imo, which is something Tebow said he would not do.
