Pretty strong case for self defense here IMO. If 2 people came over a counter after me, I would be defending myself as well. They were pretty big women, and he was kinda scrawny. And when it comes to self defense, you make sure they don't get back up.

they should also check the bill. if fake, then it's a self defense. he did a good job on following policy. i strongly think it's a self defence. those two women are trouble makers. in china, they are dead.

That was pretty awesome and they got what they deserved but I really thinks that they will still win some money because it Mcdonalds and it's the united states. Also he did hit them when they were down which doesn't look too good eventhough I probably would have done the same thing.

Reading the article further it's sad because they are already painting him out to be a monster with a criminal past. Yes he committed a very bad crime in the past but under what circumstances? We don't know why he shot somebody and now he's trying to change his life working minimum wage at Mcdonald's only to have two bitches come in and ruin his life! You want to act like men and jump over the counter then be ready to get beaten like men! Just because your a woman doesn't mean if you hit a man that he can't hit back! What if they had a gun? Also the metal rod is what's used for pulling the cases of bread around. Stupid women getting what they deserved but they will get a huge payday and he will go back to jail and be a lifetime criminal with no respect for the law that failed him.

I hope he gets a jury trial - because if I was on the jury I'd let him walk.
Problem is the guy has a record, the ladies most likely not, they will be painted as the victims in the circumstances with the injuries involved, he has history of a violent past and unless they can prove the women have one also, he is going to get the short end of the stick after all is said and done.

It will not look favorable that he fractured the one womans arm and skull, there is still excesive force charges that can be laid against him and it will be played out as a man that used a metal bar to beat 2 women who were unarmed and he was uninjured in the end.

Reguardless of the facts, North American society looks unfavorably on men who hit women reguardless of the circumstances and the prosecution will work that also. He had every right to defend himself, but he used bad judgment in striking her in the head as that will be the smoking gun for him.

I do fell bad for the guy, trying to live his life after making a mistake, but in the service industry and any customer service position it is company policy to not engage in any physical confrontation at all, this is how McDonald's will slip away from the lawsuit with a minor settlement and they will seperate themselves from the employee by termination for violating company policy and procedures to increase thier chances of winning any lawsuits brought against them.

Sad, but true.

At the point they jumped over the counter and assaulted the employ then I think it was self defense also.. He had no idea if they had a weapon , a knife a gun ,or they could even grab some thing from be hind the counter .. He did what he had to do . At some point he should of stopped .. but he was running on adrenalin and self preservation at that point .
Gain we are only hearing half the story... There is a possibility the bill was fake then the women were committing a criminal act. Jumping the counter now they are attempting a robbery by trying to force some one to given them money back on a imposable fake bill .

I would not doubt if the women have criminal records either .. This would not be the first time they acted like this ... Remember the the video of the girls that beat up the tranny and know body stopped them !

It was funny hearing someone say "stop! stop!" but he goes and takes a few more swings. If you search the net, you can find some better videos which are more clear... he starts with a big smile and is serving one of the two women, when one of them gets into an argument with him - she tells him to "be a man" and calls him a "pussy". He keeps up his big McDonald's smile then she slaps him on the face and jumps over the counter to get him. He must have been pretty cheeky with her with that big smile. Later you see him take a few extra swings - I wonder what was going on in his head - "ah finally, a good excuse for giving these bitches what they deserve".

I think the issue here is that he continued to beat them repeatedly after they were on the ground. The self-defense argument will protect you until you are out of immediate harm. He took it well past that point continuing to beat them after they were no longer an immediate threat and as a result, I predict that he will be convicted based on the video evidence.

They where trying to get up to possibly attack him again. That means they were still an immediate threat to his safety.

That was the Los Angeles' Police defence during the Rodney King beating.
I believe there were 3 or 4 police laying a thrashing on him fearing King may do them all in

With a broken arm or skull. He was being restrained by his co-workers.

Lessons learned all around I think. Hard to have much sympathy for anyone involved in that.

Poor example. 4 vs 1 is not the same as 1 vs 2.

With a broken arm or skull.
We have no idea when those injuries occurred. They may well have been the result of his last 2 swings.
