Living in Budapest

I'll be living in Budapest for a year. I know this is a long shot but does anyone recommend any girls or places in the city? I'm a little nervous about just calling up girls from ads because I'm no longer on home turf and I've heard people love to take advantage of foreigners and tourists. I always thought prices were cheaper here but they are about the same if not greater than Vancouver, from what I can see.

I also don't speak Hungarian, other than a few yes, no, maybe so words and it seems a lot of the people here don't speak much English either. The girls are extremely beautiful and tempting nonetheless. Any tips would be appreciated.

No matter what you look like, if you flash Western money around Budapest, you can get a much younger girlfriend of near model-quality. Ya, have some fun with the working girls, but if you're there for a year, get a local gal as a girlfriend. Not a flashy gold-digger in 8" spikes, but a normal, very pretty, open-minded Hungarian girl who will treat you like a king in exchange for some lovely dinners out, and a holiday or too.

If you are going to be there a yr yah i agree get a local girl friend .. I know i am no expert on getting girls But going to the local pubs a or restaurants and saying your from Canada would get some girls interested ..

and most young Hungarians speak English so you won;t have any problem , But if you want to learn the language fast . girl friend is the answer I am told ..

thanks for all your tips and links guys. there are tons of clubs in Budapest, and there are in fact discos, but tell you the truth I'm not much of a clubber. I'd love to get a Hungarian girlfriend, and your right Szabina its mostly the youth that speak English here, maybe I can find a nice one at a coffee place somewhere.

I've seen a lot of sex shops around, and I've also seen ladies at the train station whispering "sex" to me as I pass them but I'm still sort of wary about seeking these options. the internationalsexguide link that lenny provided has a couple of reviews, not as many as perb, but I guess i'll check those out, independent seems the way to go.
