I just switched to Telus from Shaw. Shaw simply couldn't provide reliable TV and Internet and I don't do 4 hour waits to talk to a service representative. No problem, so far, with Telus and it costs quite a bit less than the Phone/TV/Internet bill I was paying. Super cheap for the first 6 months, still cheap after the price goes up in 6 months.
Alin what were the probs with the Shaw system? I was having HD pixelization and the audio wasn't matching up with the people speaking. One service rep told me to disconnect the PVR/Set Top Box every once is a while so it could reset itself. Strange, but it seemed to work better when I did the hard reset.
My Shaw Internet has been very reliable. I can remember only I one day in the past year when I had service issues and it was resolved pretty quickly.
Seems things change every 2 - 3 years or so. Last time people were beating on Telus for crap service/support and now the shoe is on the other foot with Shaw. I am not going back to Telus, ever.
I just did a Speedtest.net and my Shaw download was 25 MB/S and upload was 0.5 MB/S with a 19 ms ping.
