'The Town' is a 'Heat' wannabe...it's watchable but not epic!I saw 'The Town' a couple of evenings ago and was quite impressed. It's directed by and starred in by Ben Affleck. Lots of great action and a story as well. I love documentaries too so I'm gonna check out the ones Badbadboy recommended as I've been really frustrated with crappy movies lately as well.
On the subject of remakes, Heat is a remake of L.A. Takedown, which was also directed by Michael Mann. As much as I enjoy it, many films would be better if directors got two kicks at the can with bigger budgets and better actors. (That doesn't mean I want to see the Total Recall re-make; the original will be very hard to top.)'The Town' is a 'Heat' wannabe...it's watchable but not epic!
I was SO excited to see this movie and SO let down you would not even believe the look of straight up cheatedness on my face when I left. Same thing happened with Limitless..Hanna which was recently released on DVD and is awesome.
Limitless was a let down... but I loved Hanna (also thumbs up to The Kings Speech).I was SO excited to see this movie and SO let down you would not even believe the look of straight up cheatedness on my face when I left. Same thing happened with Limitless..
I certainly recommend the kings speech (video) and Super 8 (probably still in some theaters *shrug*).. I enjoyed both thoroughly
