Had my last wisdom tooth pulled today, that makes a total of 3 times I have had this done in a span of 12 years.

I am relieved that I never have to do it again, while at the same time bummed as I have banned myself from playing for 45 days(another appointment in 2 weeks for minor stuff) for my and the ladies health and safety(I have exceptionally deep roots and it took him 1&1/2 hours to get it all out). I also need kissing as part of the experience so it wont be the same and pointless for me :/.

So, yeah what the fuck am I gonna do:doh:

I am on pain meds and for some reason decided to share my small spot of self pity and really have no clue as to why I am posting this rofl, might be the pain meds:D

Hahahah I forgot the main reason i was posting that thread while I was typing it.

I was actually trying to let people know that when they get wisdom teeth pulled, get them all done at once and avoid the masochistic route I took.

So yeah pain meds are working as intended.

I had 2 pulled a few months ago, it was such a good experience, I didn't even need the tylenols they gave me. I think a warm salt rinse 2X a day is a really good idea and also use that syringe looking tool they give you to clean it after every meal and you should heal quick! :thumb:

The second time I went for this proceedure I had to be refered to an oral surgeon as my bottom left tooth was impacted and abseced, I was supposed to get the remaining 3 done but do to an almost disasterous extraction of the second tooth, I asked him to sticth me up and I will wait to have the 3rd one removed at another time. I lost all confidence in him and had a small talk with my dentist suggesting he may want to find another guy worth his referals.

So yeah I never really got around to it until a recent visit( had to change dentists, my regular dentist had to retire).

I do have to say my new dentist is a pro, one and a half hours geting out a tooth that did not want to go, and the only discomfort I felt was from the sound and no where near the amount of bleeding compared to the oral surgeon.

I also have yet to take any more pain meds as residual pain is pretty much minor.

This is the only scaled review you will ever see me do and is mainly to reflect my good humor at the moment.

L 5 goes to a 7 when his assistant was standing over me.
A 10, very personable and mild mannered, sets you at ease and will tell you what he is doing if you ask.
S 10, was diligent and gentle, made me feel like I was his only patient in the world while he was with me:p. He was also considerate constantly asking if I was ok, made me chuckle.
Repeat- yes although I doubt after the work I am about to get done gives me any choice :)

I have to say dentists do like me, I just sit back, relax and let them go to work. He even cracked a joke about me reminding him of this scene while he was workig on me.

Edit: Also I recomend on drinking pineapple juice for a week before, up until your gum is healed, it has natural enzymes that are good for healing gums and is a bonus for the ladies that provide CIM and swallow, it makes the semen taste better(no shit, it is a fact).

Rancid my friend I know how true that is, but Gallstone attacks are much, much worse:fear:(family genetics are awesome).

oh boy this brings back bad memories.

I had all four done about 15 years ago. the bottom two were 'impacted', meaning they never breached the jaw bone... yep - got the saw. oral surgery in the hospital. misery.

then the smell. the smell of death plumed from my mouth and filled the room. absolutely disgusting.

hang in there. pop those pills. rinse with heavily salted water. stay hydrated. do NOT use a straw. go for a walk. treat yourself like you've been through a major injury... you have.

one week of shitsville... then the speed of healing is remarkable.

Funny thing is, I am actually a fast healer, but that still does not mean I can ignore good advice to ensure both our health is protected. I could never in my life willingly risk another persons health and in good concience live with myself for beign selfish and risk another persons health for my own gratification.

But, yeah so far the pain is still minor, no further pain meds (not even regular tylenol), if anyone needs a good dentist Pm me and i can give you the info, he is easily accessible by transit in the metro Vancouver area for people with no vehicles of thier own.

You're acutally not supposed to exercise for at least 1-2 weeks after you get your wisdom teeth out ...
Walking small distances is fine they just do not want you doing anything that may remove the clot in the now empty sock, that is what leads to dry socket.

He told me the do's and don'ts and made me laugh when he specifically said no rope jumping before anything else, so I am doing the smart thing and following themm even if it does seem tedious.
