At what age do you feel ridiculous wearing shorts out? I am 41 and never wear my shorts out except home and the gym. Maybe I'm mentally getting old fast, thats probably it. Just wearing shorts in public makes me feel so college fratboy age and I rather be taken more seriously. Since the weather is so mild here I have zero problems nice blue jeans and CLEAN sneakers out. Its so true about how people judge you by your shoes. I do wear expensive Nike Shox with leather often, thats my style.

actually as you get older and have to pee more often with much less notice, shorts are a solution. You might not have time to get the zipper down on regular pants. You can just whip up one of the legs and pull out charlie quickly for a pee anywhere, even parking lots if you have to. Got this answer from my uncle one day when I critized his shorts, lol.

A nice pair of Tommy Bahamas or something. Also invest in a nice pair of sandals or boating shoes and you're good to go.

As a young, contemporary gent in his 40's, I'm normally dressed very similar to the wardrobe style of Charlie Sheen from his former sitcom, Two & a Half Men. Solid coloured cargo pants topped with a bold graphic button down short sleeve shirt, white ankle socks and sharp comfortable deck shoes.
In fact, that is all I wear all spring and summer.
