So a working girl has gotten raped and robbed. She has the perps email and phone number. Will the cops bother to help? Any advice?

She should absolutely contact the police. I've heard of a few women who went through something like that and VPD was helpful and never treated them differently because they were escorts. She should definitely report this and hopefully save someone else from the same. You (or she) should also post about it in the neighborhood watch section. I'm very sorry to hear that she's going through this. Thanks for providing some support, I'm sure she must appreciate it.
I know!! I read they let him off for the time being and I felt so bad for that woman. Just terrible.
It was always an uphill battle against the resources Strauss Kahn has, but she has seemingly lost all credibility with her history of lies.
She should report it ASAP. Given the nature of the work she does, not doing it right away will only result in a low probability of anything being done about it. Do it now.

If she doesn't report it, the guy is free to do it again and again and again. If she does report it, she will gain a certain sense of having done something about it, taking some power over her life back, and not just a little revenge on him.
She absolutely needs to report that she was robbed as well. There is an important distinction with sps vs civilians, and that is the sex is consensual based on payment. She could also look up the info for PIVOT, and may be able to take someone with her to make the report so she doesn't feel alone. An advocate to help her thru the process, and to make sure it is all taken seriously can help.
