My bills are all done online or by telephone. Received 0 pieces of mail today since the strike is over.
Anybody miss canada post while they had the strike?

yeah i was expecting some mail and didnt receive in time. not critical but still needed it. this really sucked. essential services that supply canadians should not be allowed to strike. hockey players etc fine strike all you want, but this should have never been allowed to happen to begin with.
I missed a little portion of their services. I still receive long letters from an ex's Mother in Toronto. She has my email address but I guess she prefers to send letters the old fashion way. Those letters are greatly appreciated.

Personally - NO
Business - YES.
I can and do 99% of what I need to do personally via the internet and couriers but my businesses do rely on postal delivery. Over the short term we did make due with couriers, email, internet banking, etc. but there are certain aspects of, especially one of my businesses, that needs the postal service to deliver information to our customers.

Receiving payments for my work is always nice. I guess I could set up bank transfers for some of my suppliers but it is a lot more expensive that the snail mail.

Not suprising.My July issue of Playboy still hasn't arrived yet!
Waaaaaaaay back int he early 80's a buddy of mine worked part-time for Canada Post. Everytime I went to his apt. he had every new copy of Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler, Oui, Cherry,...you name it as well as Time, McLeans, Pop. Mech. etc. Basically the employess would just take customer's magazines for their own use all the time.
Just be careful if when they finally do deliver it the pages aren't all stuck together.
Personally, I only noticed it in a lack of magazines being delivered.
Business-wise, I do have a few customers that still mail a cheque. Thankfully, it only delayed one small cheque for me

i missed the mail.. !!! my bcid was caught up in it.. although it came about a week ago, i look like a villan, !!!!!! looks like a mug shot ???? I look young so without my id i get thrown out of places still.
if they know me Im fine, otherwise i get the boot. Im good to go now I had my wallet stolen at work, some theif got into the staff room and took a couple wallets. it took me a while to wait for all of everything to be delivered .
