Sex Workers Demand an End to Hockey
Sex workers in this city are demanding an end to hockey in the City of Vancouver. A representative of the Downtown Street Workers’ Association stated;
“We need to protect our children. Hockey is associated with public disorder, arson, assault, looting and vandalism. Hockey players are powerless victims of international trading by organized club owners and must be protected. We propose a criminal law that will allow for the imprisonment of anyone caught buying a ticket to a hockey game. This will protect our communities and prevent the exploitation of hockey players”.
In the interests of balanced reporting we have interviewed a hockey mom. Her baggy tee shirt declares “REED for Hockey” and “Buying Hockey Tickets Is a Sport”. When asked about the sex workers’ objections to hockey she declared;
“These women don’t understand the value of hockey, the checking, the injuries, the fights. It teaches our sons how to be men and how to treat Real Women. It’s Sex Workers who need to be removed from our streets and our cities. There are too many men walking around with smiles on their faces and bananas in their pockets. We know what they have been doing, we know what they are thinking, and it has to stop.”
