Stanley Cup game tickets are going for as much as $7,000 (2 tickets to game 7 to a broker in Chicago - $14,00!!).

I get in for free, so I don't give a rat's ass, but what would you pay to see a game live?

Imyself would not pay anything.....I have attended 1 flames game on a fan appreciation night no less and the assholish treatment I got from the surly/pissed off/disgruntled concession staff who pretty much threw my purchase at me made me decide to vote with my wallet.....treated like crap by concession staff = no more money spent on hockey tickets.

nothing. klamkracker's got it down- home's where it's at for shite you can watch for free. Or at a bar, which is likely about the same giddy atmosphere you'll get w/fans at a massive arena where you'll likely never be able to pick anything up on the side like you can at a bar... :p

So far, for the handful of games I've attended, I've not had to pay for any playoff seats. Many thanks to the Suppliers and or Clients I've been blessed to have done business with. That said, when invited, I normally would gift a nice bottle of single malt or fine Champagne to the host to show my appreciation. So in essence, I've only had to pay between $400 & $500 per pair of tickets. Still inexpensive.

Peace.

Every sporting event I've ever gone to I've been disappointed. You can rarely see anything where you're sitting and the people running the monitors aren't very good at catching the good stuff. Rarely miss anything on TV, so I'd rather sit comfortably at home watching a game.

first born...

but there's no way a college kid who's loved the Canucks since they were 4 years old could get a ticket to a Canucks game, those are reserved for buisnessmen who never played hockey and could care less about the Nucks in November but cause we're this close want to goto the games and act like they've supported the Canucks all season.

I say this cause I live in a house where my brothers a blackhawk fan, my sister cheers for the Sharks, and my parents were cheering for the Preds just to spite me for my blind faith. They have now bought my sister again cheering for the Sharks, 3 terrible towels, a blanket with a Canucks logo and a 1996 jersey, not to mention they took her to game 2 against Nashville. They havn't bought me anything cause "I have too many things with Canucks logos", myself having posters of Nazzy, Linden, Bure, and Kesler on the wall aswell as 4 jerseys, the black yellow skate, the old red/black yellow skate, the red fade whale logo, and the current blue. Which is a huge piss off to me cause they bought my sister $500 worth of Canuck logo things, and paid $700 to take her to a playoff game and I've never been to a live hockey game cause spending $200 on a pair of tickets to take me durine the regular season was too expensive.

So honestly I would give you my first born child to be at any of the games this round of the playoff's, hell I'd give you a kidney for a regular season game, I've never been to large scale sporting event. The closest thing was playing in the schrum bowl, or for the provincial championship in hockey but I didn't watch and cheer those games I played in them, I once went to a giants game but that was cause my friend plays for them and gets free tickets so he gave them to me.

atta boy....take the money and run.....
I might, but have to raise my prices. I dont really like to scalp, but this is different.
My 4 seats for game 5 should sell for $800 I am guessing, thats $1800 profit.

I generally give all my tickets I can use at face to my buddies.
Except Toronto, Montreal, and Calgary games, i like making money off those people.

And there are thousands of people who couldn't imagine spending $200 to have sex with a lady for an hour.....

I'd buy tickets for myself it's just most my friends being that I am in college are also in college, and that means we're broke for me to have $200 to spend at one time I normaly have to save for 3 months. And even then I have time constraints, I goto school 9-5 m-f, and work 6-12 tuesday to saturday, and I have to pay for my phone, car insurance, gas and food which doesn't leave me alot of social time. So for the perfect storm of me having the extra money, and the nucks having a sunday or monday game, and one of my friends to have the money and the time aswell to go out to a game is realy hard to come by even still as it stands I've been watching playoff games while studying for class.

But my complaint is about my parents spending $1,200 on taking my sister to a Canucks playoff game, when she isen't even a fan and protesting that $200 was too much money to take me to a regular season game when I'm the sort of fan that will die durine the riots if Boston wins this series...

One time when I was 12, my parents bought my sister an XMAS present I knew cost at least $50 more than mine.
AND i was a good boy that year.

k cause that's a fair litmus test... cause a $50 difference when you also got a gift is a fair comparison to a $1,200 difference and not getting anything. And trust me if I'm a good boy I won't get anything, my parents don't like me cause when I was 21 I moved out into my own place. By comparison my older brother 7 years my senior is married and still lives at home, because the custom of our culture is to live with your parents til you are married for a year then move out. They hold a grudge because they don't realize that the custom of the culture that we live in, here in Canada is for a 21 year old man to move into his own place.

Coming from the German background where brothels are legal, I would go with my buddies to a nice whorehouse, and watch the game on big screen having some fresh German draft. A game can be "LIVE" in so many different aspects.
For $14,000, I could rent the entire bloody business and have the party of a lifetime - whether the cnucks win or loose - I probably wouldn't even remember.

Sell the shit out of those tickets.....jack the price as high as you can as somebody will pony up the cash and dont just do it for game 5 do it for every game you are able to....hell you could pay for pooning for the rest of 2011.....nothing like getting a BJ by a hot SP whilst the opening ceremony is going on and yelling out YEAAAAHHHH just as Vancouver scores and you reach climax....and this would be paid for with someone else's money.....now that is WINNING....so WINNING you would not be shooting out semen but TIGER BLOOD lol

At $800 per ticket that is $3200 per game - the cost of the tickets and if it goes to game 7 then that should be 4 games for a total of $12,800 in tax free money - expenses.....try get a 2 week return like that on the stock market.

In short....SCALP those tickets for as much as you can get and watch the game from home whilst banging a hot gal and make a shitload of cash....you can opt for doggy so you can both enjoy the game ;)

Is this at the Saddledome or Roger's Center? If the Roger's Center, what happened? That's fairly unusual for staff hired by Aramark to act out like that.
It was at the saddledome and it was a nasty experience....I have not been back since.I have never stepped foot in the Rogers centre....when I lived in North Vancouver I did go to a couple Grizzley's games at BC place....so you get the idea how long it is since I lived there.......cant say as I found the basketball games entertaining either and I got the tickets for free.

I still remember the days when I saw the Edmonton Oilers with Gretzky, Messier, Anderson etc. play vancouver to a half full arena. Use to buy tickets in the nosebleeds and go along the glass in between periods.

Then I ended up getting tickets to game 6 between Vancouver and the New York Rangers, so I've had my share of playoff hockey experiences, but this is different.

I'm not sure what I would pay to see another Stanley Cup playoff game, the economics have changed so much over the years, but I would expect to pay anywhere for 500-1000 bucks. for a single ticket, and I'm still contemplating whether or not I want to do that.

I bought the tickets to tomorrow night game through Stubhub. Since I have a good job and work hard, I am going to treat myself with this. I don't want to say how much I pay for the tickets, but they were very expensive. Front row in club section!

Fuck that. I rather blow 100 bucks sitting in the bar with food and drinks and poon about 10 times with that amount of money spent. Ain't worth it. Yes I like the canucks and I feel good if they won it all, but do I benefit anything from blowing thousands watching them live, and them potentially losing? I think not.
