There's a Chinese restaurant here in Brandon that closes for vacation all of March and the start of April. No clue if it's to coincide with any holiday though . . .

In Japan there is Golden Week, a bunch of holidays that are close together. It's one of the biggest vacationing time of the year and lots of people take off extra time. It's at the end of April and beginning of May. Maybe this is why they closed? (I think it extends beyond Japan too, to other Asian cities/countries). The dates don't really match up though... ah well, just my 2 cents.
