Its the nature of the sport, not as bad as boxing, lose a couple there, and you should just give up.

Vera will go to strikeforce, he likes to stand and will be a good show there.
UFC is about well rounded fighters, Vera isn`t

He sure was confident when he arrived
Even at lhw he is way smaller
The division is mostly huge strong 205ers right now

Maybe he will fight Henderson
He would still be fun to watch

I still think Vera got a raw deal on his fight with Couture, but such is life I guess. He's sort of in no man's land, not big enough for the heavies and the light heavies have so much skill.

Ya, I can't wait for this card. Might be a really good card to bet on, as already I would put money on Silva, Jones, and Franklin.

I think a big part of the reason for Vera is not only his 3 losses in a row, but he suffered bad injuries in his last 2. He got a fractured orbital in his fight against Jones and his nose was completely demolished against Silva. Dana isnt going to go onto a limb for a fighter that keeps getting injured in his fights, its too much of a liability. He was way to small to fight at heavyweight, 220 isnt nearly big enough to fight against the monsters in the HW division nowadays, and he just couldnt cut it when he came down to 205. The UFC is stacked with great fighters at 205 right now. Unless he could cut down to 185 he doesnt really have a home.
