Stamkos is in a slump
Crosby: 17 goals 14 assist last 15 games
Price: still leading the league is wins
Hank: still leading the league in helpers

Thomas Plekanec is quietly putting together a stellar season after signing his big contract. A point a game pace, plays 5 on 5, PP and PK. Great on faceoffs, early candidate for the Selke Trophy.

Carey Price is on the top of his game rewarding the Habs management for laying all their eggs in his basket.

PK Subban is playing with such poise and love love love his spinneramas. Don Cherry should be ashamed of himself, he practically put a bounty on this young kid.

Patrick Sharp leads the defending champs in scoring, who would have thought?

Steven Stamkos is on pace for 70 goals, most exciting player right now. Not a big whinner like Cindy Crosby.
Gotta admit, Price is making me eat my words, and I don't mind that a bit.

It's great to see Plekanec come through, I had my doubts about him as well.

St.Louis is a solid player but Stamkos would do fine with or without him.
2009-2010 stats:
Stamkos 82GP 51G 44A 95PT
St. Louis 82GP 29G 65A 94PT

Willful blindness or in need of glasses?

2010-2011 stats so far:
Stamkos 27GP 21G 19A 40PT
St. Louis 27GP 11G 23A 34PT

Still don't see any correlation?

2008-2009 stats (this year is significant because St. Louis played half the year with Lecavalier and the other half with Stamkos):
Stamkos 79GP 23G 23A 46PT
St. Louis 82GP 30G 50A 80PT
Lecavalier 77GP 29G 38A 67PT

I am certain Steve Yzerman would also disagree with you.

Gotta admit, Price is making me eat my words, and I don't mind that a bit.
I finally removed the Jaroslav Halak label from the McDonald - Carey Price helmet souvenir that I made during last year's playoffs after his 4th shut out this season.

You don't think I looked up the stats before I posted? Ask Steve who he would rather have if you get one player...Stamkos or St Louis? Thanks for coming out ;)
Stop twisting the question. I said St. Louis is "is one of the biggest reasons for the rise of Stamkos, just look at how much Lecavalier's production has dropped since St Louis was moved to the Stamkos line. One of the smallest guys in the NHL and plays with a lion's heart." And you try to brush that off by calling him a "a solid player but Stamkos would do fine with or without him." That is the topic for discussion and not "Ask Steve who he would rather have if you get one player...Stamkos or St Louis?" You can tell the difference, can't you?

Most people would describe a third line player with good checking abilities as "solid". You do not call a player "solid" when he has gotten 80pts or more in the regular season 5 times.

Lecavailler has been hurt...Im not brushing him off just saying he isn't an a top of the food chain kinda guy. Who cares how big or small he is? Saying he's small with a lion heart doesn't make him better....
There you go again, focusing on the leaves and misses the branch completely. It's really hard for me to have a half-intelligent discussion with you without getting frustrated, you seem to miss the main point I am trying to make without fail. So I am not going to torture myself anymore, hubbahunka or whomever you are...

There are times to relax and there are times to be serious, you need to learn how to be serious at some point and not be a clown all day. Peace out...

I am enjoying watching Eberle play. Linus Omark looks great too...why the Oilers are still keeping him on the farm is beyond me.

Saw it live. First time I have evr been at a game when the crowd stands and cheers so loud the player didn't hear the whistle from the ref and had to do it over, and then score. Right on!!!!

Wow, That was pretty cool; it takes a lot of jam to try and pull something like that off for the first time.

All of the players and coaches whining about Omark's shootout goal really makes the NHL look bush league. How dare anyone brings excitement to the game!
