Comeback Kid

Nicholas Cage remains a great actor and one of my favorites. The National Treasure franchise and Family Man were some of my favorite movies. Not a big box office drawer as before but he can always make a comeback like Robert Downey Jr. Might have overspent on luxuries like 2 castles, 50 cars, $ 275,000 for a dinosaur bone skull, etc. and is now facing financial challenges. However, in life people sometimes get pruned to become better individuals.

Right now he's doing movies one after another to get back and settle his obligations. When you watch his latest flicks you know he's just doing it for the money. I just hope he gets his passion for acting back.

His portrayal as an accelerating alcoholic in "Leaving Las Vegas" (or some similar title) impacted me personally in so many ways. What a moving movie!! And of course his savior(ing) local Vegas SP, Elizabeth Shue, in the movie was equally SUPERLATIVE. And what an absolute doll in real life! Cage's talent cuts him some slack in my book. A major and adventurous Hollywood talent IMHO. Leave him be. He's earned it.
