Sadly we must take the bad with the good

It comes to my attention that 99.99% of all of the people I’ve met through the industry in the past year are wonderful and exceptional and I feel huge amounts of respect for them.

The ladies I have come to know since joining Extreme Body Care are my family. Anyone who thinks this is ‘Just A Job’ I would like to explain why it is not. The ladies who work together share everything from perfume to personal tragedy. We share birthdays, children, emotions and love. We share respect. We share intimacy far and above any other work place I’ve ever experienced prior to entering the industry at the age of 41. The ladies are responsible for one another’s safety and wellbeing. We will absolutely stand in the line of fire for another regardless of any threat to ourselves.

Nearly every client I have come to know has been a pure joy, a true pleasure. Each client comes along with a unique soul. It’s fascinating to get to know them in any amount, large or small. Every laugh is adored. Every smile is unique. Each man has a story. Some share a little and some share a lot in regards to their personal lives, I am a keen listener and my clients know that when they share something with me it’s going to be kept confidential. A client does not need to worry about his SP sharing information with his family and friends, they find comfort in knowing they have someone to share things with that they know will not judge or betray them. My clients this past year have been generous to me, from the prettiest Tinker Bell keychain to the most lavish of items. I have received flowers of all kinds, a single yellow daisy, a dozen beautifully displayed red roses, an arrangement with a Zen motif and a very modern display of foliage. Every single gift, flower, note and card, means so much to me, none more cherished than the other. These clients took a moment out of their day with the thought of doing something to bring a smile to my face. To every client, bearing gifts or not, I am eternally grateful.

And so …to the man responsible for the beautifully carved artwork on the side of the vehicle I had at the studio last night, thank you for helping me to reflect on all of the wonderful things people share with me. Your heartless act has brought me to a place of contentment even though I’m certain that is not the result you were seeking. Just so you know, you are effective with your sharp instrument, you managed to cause a whopping $2,200.00 damage in just a brief moment, out in the dark hiding like the coward you are. A man not man enough to come face to face with all 100lbs of me, all 4’11” of me. A man so pathetic that the only confrontation you were willing to make was with a parked vehicle. Very brave indeed speaking loudly of your character.

The damage you did to that car is minimal compared to the damage you did to your soul. I like to think that karma balances all but I am quite certain you are beyond balance. I don’t sweat over the wellness of an object, I do over the wellness of people but not of an item. I have a strong feeling you treasure a different priority of things in your life than I do in mine.

With all the BunnyHugs I can send out to all the wonderful people I’ve met.

And to the man responsible for this rush of happy, thank you for being the 0.01% that make the 99.99% shine so brightly.

Thanks for the great post Jessica. (I always enjoy and look forward to your posts.) Sorry it was inspired by a moron, though. You don't think it was someone on the board, do you? I sure hope it wasn't. But it's nice to hear we are appreciated when we show our gratitude with gifts, large or small. Sometimes us guys can get jaded and feel like we aren't appreciated. Thanks for letting us know we really are!

I was really moved by this post, Jessica. An older friend, a teacher, an elder, now passed away, once told me that it's important to embrace our enemies, our opposition, because they truly challenge us and if we are able to overcome whatever challenge they force on us, we ourselves become stronger and wiser. I often failed and my teacher was around enough to witness this. I think she continued to have confidence in me, however, although I don't know that I merited it. But your passage does remind me of the best that I could be.

There's lots of losers who do things like that every single day and it's sickening. The good news is you only need to pay the deductible and not $2200. Sorry that happened to you JP.

Thanks for your nice comments everyone. Writing has always been therapeutic for me so I take advantage of the fact that I love to do it. Ride My Mustache, you ask if I think it was someone on the board. Sadly, yes. In fact the person that did it is highly aware of the fact that I know it's him. This person has never been a client of mine. This person has been running scared from me for months for no reason other than a predicament he put himself into. One can only imagine all of the sleepless nights he lay awake planning this ultimate devious plot which, I guess was the best he could come up with. Sigh. He is welcome to confront me, of course, I'll be there with a smile to greet him should he ever decide to handle things like a grown up.

I think James Tiberius Kirk should pay a visit to the car vandal and teach him a lesson or two:

I'm sorry, Jessica, for what happened to your car. It will all be good. Such is the way of things. The way of the Force.
LMAO ...Thank you Sperminator.
Yes, I'd like to see this very justice carried out on him, that would be worth taking a picture or two ...:) The Bunny always has her camera near.

Thanks for your great post Jessica. And I hope you find the SOB who "carved" your car and give him a good measure of bunny revenge! If I were him I would be scared!

I am sorry that happened to you Jessica. There are way too many thoughtless people out there. If everyone could just live by a few simples rules... Treat others as you would like to be treated... Respect other people and their property... The world would be a much better place!

Maybe you should tell us the rest of the story, I don't condone what he did but folks might be surprised by what pushed him to this.

I have to disagree with you here, nothing "pushed" him to carry out this act of cowardess. Anyone that does this sort of thing feels that they are doing it for revenge, when in all actuality there is no act of revenge going on as they were the ones that put themselves in the original situation in the first place. If they in fact did not put themselves in a situation where they were outcast, then there would not have been a problem to begin with and thusly there would not be an issue now.

Regardless of what has brought it to this point the fact remains that a "coward" pulled a "cowardly" deed. Little did he know that the Bunny would rise above his shenanigans and as always be the better person.

Personally I am not as forgiving as the Bunny and would just like to have a few words alone with him about what he has done to whom I consider a very good friend.

Juniper, I have come to know just a tiny bit about you through our brief contact and your writings. Your friend who is now passed ...she is lucky to have had a student like you. One who, years later, still reflects on what she was saying, one who shared her wisdom with others as you've taken the time to do so here. I'm quite sure you merit the confidence she had in you and I've no doubt that on some unknown plane she is smiling because you are thinking of her. Juniper, all we can do is try as often as we can to be the best that we can be. Thank you for sharing.

I do appreciate your commentary, Jessica. As far as trying the best we can to be all we can be, I have often not tried or not tried hard enough. I also have many regrets. It's not enough to ward it off, as people are wont to do, by saying "That's all I was capable of at the time." That sort of statement allows for too many excuses for bad and nasty behaviour and, besides, I know when I was capable of better but either got too lazy or was primarily moved by a bad demon.
