If I would like to rent a place as an out call location, are there any options for doing so without using a credit card? I don't want to leave a trail the can be discovered by my significant other.

There are a lot of places that will take cash with no credit card.

Just not the nicest fancy places.

A quick google search says: https://www.vanillamastercard.com/

Available in 7-11 and shoppers. Nothing needed to sign or anything, just pay cash and walk out.
$100 card costs about $105 apparently.

Info from here: http://dan.matan.ca/Top-5-Prepaid-Gift-Cards-in-Canada-2010-Visa-Mastercard

Then book over the phone?

Not sure the vanilla mastercard would work because the card wont have your name on it, it's basically like a giftcard, so to the hotel is very much the same as cash...What they usually need the credit card for is to cover the damage deposit on the room, for which the amount varies from one hotel to another. So you can pay the room fee using a vanilla card but they would still ask you for a credit card when you check in. So if the hotel is insisting on a credit card, I doubt that will do.

However most hotels will take a prepaid credit card (unless that's changed in the past year), provided you load enough funds to cover the amount required for the deposit... Moneymart have Visa cards, you can get one in 10-15minutes... also, I've checked out the site linked above in the past and remember they listed a couple more places where you can get a prepaid.

As far as cash goes, many hotels will accept cash payment + deposit but only once you're actually in front of them.. Meaning: their official policy is that they don't accept cash and that's what they'll tell you if you were to call and ask however it's at their discretion. Many of them can and will accept cash (if you're presentable lol) once you're there, but they will ask for i.d.

But the problem is that not all of them will and unless you know for sure ahead of time, there's no way of knowing until you actually show up and try it.

Another option is to get a condo/short term rental that accepts cash payments. And if you do end up deciding to go to a hotel, it's really convenient to choose one where keycards aren't required for the elevators, so the sp can go straight to your room. Otherwise you'll have to meet her in the lobby, which can be done but isn't as discrete.

If the OP specifies which city he's in, I or another sp might be able to PM him with a suggestion. (I've got some ideas for Vancouver and Calgary where there were no keycards requested and I've paid cash.) :)

Surprisingly, that's not necessarily true. The higher end hotels usually haven't been ripped off as much or had people cause damage to the rooms that wasn't covered by their dd...so are actually more "trusting" or more lenient. At least, that's what I've found. :)

Check CL apartments furnished. There are a number of them advertised for $75-$99 per day, with weekly and monthly rates as well. No CC required.
