I have been thinking about the situation that Nina found herself in with her domain, and it got me wondering how many other ladies really don't understand technology, the internet, and how things work. I have met a few ladies who, although claim to be independant rely on an agency or manager to book for them, manage their email and website...there are risks associated with that apart from the obvious ones that may impact who owns your domain name, if you actually even have access to the website promoting your services, or even the email.
So here's my idea...
I am a technology professional, I have worked with Computers, the Internet and like technology for the past twenty years, Also I am a enterprising individual...I have full access to facilities for a intereactive training session on the topics above...I am contemplating a 4-6 Hours session covering everything from Domain Names, Websites, Email security, Home network security and I am open to suggestions as well.
Would you be interested at a price tag of say $50 to come to such a training session, it would be in a business environment, held on a sunday, I would need at least 8 people to commit to make it worth my while, If the response is overwhelming then I may do two sessions.
At this point I would limit this to SP's, I am not interested in helping MP's, Managers or agencies, Maybe you work for one of them and whats holding you back is your lack of knowledge on the above topics...
