Hi HealthNurse,

I burned the roof of my mouth and it blistered / bubbled up. After brushing the flesh came off. There's no pain but if I performed cunnalingus or rimmed someone, would my condition elevate the risk of catching an STD?

Yes it would increase your risk.

The mouth provides great protection against STI entering the body. Any break down can make it easier for viruses and bacteria to enter the body e.g. Burns to the mouth, poor dental care etc...

I would suggest that you wait for the area to completely heal.

Barriers such as dental dams can provide good protection when DATY or rimming.
